There are certain qualifying times for different age groups i.e. if you have run the time then you get an automatic place in the race and don't have to go through the ballot.

For men between 18 and 59 the time is 3 hours 15.

Oh cheers Gareth. I will be applying and expect I'd finish in 4-4.5 hours. I applied six years ago and was knocked back so hopefullyt I will get in this time
