Just wondering how all the worried/injured forumites did. Gayle, D Price, Rowan...?
I couldn't train properly for the last six weeks because of shin splints so lined up yesterday not knowing what to expect.
Miraculously the shins held up. I finished in 5:05:28 -- not what I had planned when I first entered, but not bad considering I wasn't sure if I'd make it past mile 1.
I wouldn't have had the courage to go for it if it wasn't for the great support in this forum. Tigger's Mate Roo really pumped me up, as did many other forumites. Thank you all!
