Marathon of the North in Sunderland (however yet to be confirmed it is on) rumours are that it will only be the half and the 10k

don't know where you live but Sussex is great - really well organised, beautiful, tough, and you can park really close!

I have heard Llanelli is really good too - same day as London I think

I did Greater Manchester this year. It's the flattest in Europe so good for a PB and seemed pretty well organised and supported.

Edinburgh? Almost guaranteed to be a scorcher though. Or Milton Keynes?

Stratford on Avon.

North Dorset Villages Marathon.

you could try Eden Marathon, around the bio-domes or if you want something a bit tougher then Duchy Marathon, think that's a couple of weeks before London, and I think there is Scilly Isles (or somewhere down South West) on same day as London. Good luck anyway

KK come do mablethorpe on 6th October.

Entries still open. Heard its flat too.

Have a year off. Its easier not running marathons.

Lochaber.  Bit of a trek but a lovely course, well organised race, etc, etc.  Round about the same time as London too.

Halstead. beautiful scenery and fairly well supported. hilly though....

There's that new one starting in Liverpool next May too. Gotta be worth a look.

Advice worth thinking about!

I'm doing Brighton on 6 April. Then work on 10K. for the rest of the year.

If you're in Devon what about Taunton?  You could also consider the Shakespeare in Stratford (27/4).

Stratford was going to be my suggestion, it's nice, flatter than Devon, and the town doesn't get flustered by the fact that there's a marathon on. You won't get 5 deep crowds, but the finish through a park is good for the friends and supporters.

KK, you're beyond help!

Taunton is nice enough, mega cheap and quite handy.  Or you could do that Dorset Village one solo - what was the course like?

Either way, our Marathon Training Group will be going again next year if you want to join us!
