Beatie - copious amounts of vasaline normally works for me, plus the st johs have always got a hand out with loads of it too.

albee, Radio Berkshire wanted me on on Thursday, b ut I had to be about 20 miles away in Maidenhead at 7am! As a Sports Massage Therapist I'm chocka on Thursday - said I'll be available by phone!! I'll try and clock in on Friday. Good luck!!

Managed to have a cup a soup for lunch and 2 chocolate bars. Then had a chicken curry for dinner - so am ok now, but ready for my bed. Night.

Last 'speed' session forme . Felt sleepy not tired so only did 5 x 400m . Veggie chiili and rice lunch time bacon pasta evening + bun + choc biscuit + 2 Guinness .- hey this taper business is good. Just off to eat bowl of muesli . Last slow jog tomorrow and potter around greenhouse, tidy a few things and generally slouch when I want to. Weather looks good main thing - wind looks low 6-9 mph at most . Looked at BBC virtual photo map of FLm route , v good except some of those early roads look so grim. Hey blue starters do you want to met up before start ?

I would not worry too much about if the weather is going to be slightly on the cold side or even if there is rain which may be light and variable, because we will all be running anyway, I think the weather will be more than good enough, you could look at 6-7 weather websites and will all give a slightly different result.

Think positive, not negative.

Anyone going to the expo Saturday.

Your right Geoff , the weather has been much better over the 7 days than the BBC fcast . Teh te mp in Central London is nearly always 2-3 deg warmer than 50 miles away.

Just done last 4 miles run in 31;15 . Felt v good ; sun coming out after showers. Current race strategy mile1-6 warm up ; 6-22 race proper (16 miles) last 4 miles hang on fro 3:30 ! Did you get yr lunch today Albee ?

Expo done! My Day:

2 hour treck up to Expo with 2 out of 3 kids
2 kids blagging freebies as much as possible
Me donating to all the charity boxes they pinched stuff off
Train back to London Bridge for sight-seeing
River Ferry up to Embankment (25 miles springs to mind)
More sight seeing walking up Thames
Tube back to Paddington - nice delay
Train back to Reading
More shopping in Reading
Bus home

Thinking this is more exhausting than Sunday can ever be! Bring it on - last 3 mile run tomorrow!
