Hey I missed those fiver offers!!!

AA - do it by phone its got to be less embarrassing! I bet you're runoff your feet at the mo doing sports massage!! What a brilliant talent to have though - thats what has got me back in with a fighting chance!

Managed to have a cup a soup for lunch and 2 chocolate bars.  Then had a chicken curry for dinner - so am ok now, but ready for my bed.  Night.

Last 'speed' session forme . Felt sleepy not tired so only did 5 x 400m .   Veggie chiili and rice lunch time   bacon pasta evening + bun + choc biscuit + 2 Guinness .- hey this taper business is good. Just off to eat bowl of muesli .   Last slow jog tomorrow and potter around greenhouse, tidy a few things  and generally slouch when I want to.    Weather looks good main thing - wind looks low 6-9 mph at most .     Looked at BBC virtual photo map of FLm route , v good except some of those early roads look so grim.  Hey blue starters do you want to met up before start ?

beattie .   looks better ; still a bit cold .   If that high would just nudge east a bit instead of south.

I would not worry too much about if the weather is going to be slightly on the cold side or even if there is rain which may be light and variable, because we will all be running anyway, I think the weather will be more than good enough, you could look at 6-7 weather websites and will all give a slightly different result.

Think positive, not negative.

Anyone going to the expo Saturday.

Your right Geoff , the weather has been much better over the 7 days than the BBC fcast .  Teh te mp in Central London is nearly always 2-3 deg warmer than 50 miles away.

LOL that sounds very similar to my plan Drk

3 miles 23:40, one more run on Friday before D Day

Hello 3:30 or bust, send us lots of energy loaded vibes!

I'm going down on Saturday PM will probably be a Expo half hour before it shuts............

09/04/2008 at 18:13

Expo done!  My Day:

  • 2 hour treck up to Expo with 2 out of 3 kids
  • 2 kids blagging freebies as much as possible
  • Me donating to all the charity boxes they pinched stuff off
  • Train back to London Bridge for sight-seeing
  • River Ferry up to Embankment (25 miles springs to mind)
  • More sight seeing walking up Thames
  • Tube back to Paddington - nice delay
  • Train back to Reading
  • More shopping in Reading
  • Bus home

Thinking this is more exhausting than Sunday can ever be! Bring it on - last 3 mile run tomorrow!

Nice fast 4 miles tonight I reckon and then tuck myself up in bed and look forward to the one day left at work this week. Not sure I can face the Expo with kids, I'll be sneaking off on Friday on me tod.

I did my intervals tonigh, 6 x 400m (1:32, 1:29, 1:28, 1:28, 1:30, 1:28), so thats me done other than a 2-3m jog on Friday.

Geoff will mail you my mobile no for Sat

Take care all,

AA - With the day you have had, I would take a rest day Thursday.

RJF - I will be leaving home at about 10am Saturday morning heading for the expo, and will check my mail just before I leave.

Last run thursday morning 3m max.

Morning Team

Pretty calm atmosphere on this thread - Obviously a sign of well trained disciplined athletes calmly doing their stuff.

RFJ - Quick times for 400's there - enjoy the rest

3 easy miles for me yesterday, no running today or tomorrow and 2 mles on Saturday morning.  Can't concentrate on much else besides Sunday at the moment - will get sacked if they find out at work!!!

AA - Know what you mean about blagging kids at expo.  However when we go I am as bad as the kids and end up with nearly as much booty as them.

Paranoia topic for the week - weight watching/carb loading - Have been avoiding my usual extra fuel stops for the last few days and managed to drop a pound or so.  Great news - all that changes today as my carb loading started at breakfast today - lubberly food every three hours now

Just completed my last run before Sunday, 3.37m  @ 8:12 pace, that's me done.
10/04/2008 at 10:11
BBC still saying heavy showers for Sunday, weather like right now would be nice instead!

Drk, there's a dog in our village called Murty! My son wanted to call the pup we're keeping Kitson as they're ginger (Russet Gold officially!) The pups are all doing really we.. Love watching them. Can't believe they'll be gone in 4/5 weeks!

Last 30 min run for me today too - now got decision - old trainers or new trainers?? I've now got a pyscological problem that my new trainers are hurting my foot!!!
