No, that would work fine as we'll have a specific spot with lots of balloons etc so you should spot us easier than a single supporter. You'll need to leave the drink at the Expo with your name, number and Group on it .... pop over to Group 2 and leave me your details - name, number, time to Mile 17 and what you're wearing.
Bear in mind that it's very busy and you will have to look out for us (right hand side of the road just after the water station, just before Mudchute DLR station) as we've no chance of spotting you
Not long now eh?
Everyone enjoying the taper?
were at Mudchute mate
VLM wont have us, were a health hazaerd
we only ran in 2008 after winng RW award
if we were and going from front - umm... sub 4
once i settled and crowd got behind me, id be unstoppable
ah, right, sorry, thought you'd got a place!
I'll shout at you as I sprint past Mudchute then!
you do that
thats extremely kind of u - first we got to get there - that at the moment is 99 % on
then when we arrive i got to get Phillip done - that might be easy, it might be a challenge
then i try and have some me time,
of course i wont want to intrude on others supporters fun-
Hiya I know its getting close but is it too late to join a group and drop some goodies off to keep me going on the day - in 2007 I remember you bringing a smile to my face when it was most needed. I am a slow 51/2 to 6 hour runner so with you about 4 hours I should think. wearing stroke assoc kit with ANN on the front and probably with a face like a beetroot - thanks A
Just seen this thread, its my first marathon, been running 7 months and running with my eldest daughter. I will be running for action on pre eclampsia and wearing one of their vests with my name on the front 'Carol' - would love to just have some support - hope to finish in 5.15.
yes i'll wave my bits at you - is that ok
but i am only a novice i cannot shout any advice LMAO
good luck and keep well
Excellent!! thanks guys, I should hopefully be at mile 17 at about 3.25 ish based on previous training runs. Jaffa cakes and jelly babies sound good!, will be at exp on saturday. x
Adopt yourself onto Group 5 then Carol & daughter. They'll take you under their wing
And I can assure you that Mick will not be waving his bits at anyone. I'll make sure I keep him under control .... I'll use a big stick if I have to
Oh great - its time for emotional stuff.
Has anyone posted this yet?
3.25 as in 3 hours 25
or as in 15.25 hours
you enjoy it ,we'll kick your arse forward no fear of that
if there's one thing i DO know about , that is 26 miles
you just say what you want, and u'll have it
please be careful how u asnwer that LOL
And Fluffy Min the taper tapir mascot will be in attendance at mile 17 so don't worry about last minute niggles.
