Teckien, you are welcome to come over to Group 3.  I'm about to go away for the weekend but will respond to your post when I get back.

Adopt yourself onto Group 5 then Carol & daughter.  They'll take you under their wing

And I can assure you that Mick will not be waving his bits at anyone.  I'll make sure I keep him under control .... I'll use a big stick if I have to

Ha ha - Mick that would have been something interesting to look out for at mile 17 and would certainly have keep us going!!! get everyone to shimmy and shake as much as they can when we come past, (im also a bellydancer!) - do you need our numbers?  We are starting off dressed as 'wheres wally' in striped tops, hats and blue tutus but if it gets too much will revert to our running tops, mine is action on pre eclampisa and amanda's is BHF.  Look forward to seeing you all . x

Oh and also some jelly beans as I can only fit so many in my shorts pocket without them falling down!

Can't promise we will have any jelly beans on general offer but if you pop along to group 4 they'll take your details and you can leave some with them at the Expo for them and collect them from the group on the day

I've only just seen this forum, so hope I'm not too late. I'm running next week and need all the support I can get!
15/04/2012 at 18:13

yes sorry too late

we'll support u next year

i await a slap from TP

15/04/2012 at 18:22

I don't slap people on Sunday so you're off the hook Mick.

TTGF if you want any specific stuff doing/help/hugs or supplies at Mile 17 please pop along to group 5 where Mike and his crew will tend to you.  If you're just wanting a general shout out as you trot past then that wish is granted.

15/04/2012 at 18:29

wish i could have my wishes granted

I know the above post says its too late but if anyone drops out Matt Purslow please First marathon and I am bricking it! Haha

Matt - I think the 'too late' is Mick's idea of a joke.

Mile 17 supports anyone and everyone. If they know what you look like then all the better.

There's always jelly babies for anyone - whether you want them or not.

And relax. There's nothing you can do now. Make sure you are well rested and well hydrated. Do something to take your mind off it for the week, like going to work or something.  On the day you'll be fine, you'll be with one hell of a lot of other runners so try and enjoy it. It's going to be loud and crowded. There's tons of support along the way. All you have to do is get from the start to the finish. No worries.
