Newbie32 - you shouldn't have any trouble finding us - we're just after the Docklands Settlement building!

Just back from Paris - experience there suggests that though the weather was much colder than last year, it was much better for running. But for the supporters - definitely dig out the thermals!

Running Rodent - I did the Newham Classic 10k yesterday and was shivering at the start. 4 deg in just a vest top and capris... brrrrrr

I have asked RW Towers for a donation towards the stuff which we will give out from behind their banner.  I have had an acknowledgement but no offer of cash as yet.

Never underestimate the amount of stuff we give out on the day it costs a lot of money so if you are a runner and you can donate some goodies or cash at the Expo please  otherwise if falls on the supporters who are there to buy the lot.  Unless you specifically ask us to, we don't spend your donations on beer

Hi Tickled Pink - what would the supporters prefer? Money or goodies? I'm happy to do either but wanted to see what was preferred (e.g. cash so that it's less to carry from expo to mudchute etc).

TP I will drop by with some cash and some gels on Wednesday
16/04/2012 at 16:35
Some cash would be good as the helium, balloons, plates etc all cost money.  The food and fruit is cheap in comparison.

TBH Cash is best if only from a carting about point of view.  Lugging 3 tons of jaffa cakes to the station, to the tube, to the DLR at Towergate will give me arms like an orangutang but all donations gratefully received.

my sis (Fiona) has not been abe to use this but would like to get help (no. 4037) will take stuff to expo.

Hi Lorraine - if you label it with her name, number, expected time to mile 17 and support group one I'll make sure we have it for her

Unless it's a bottle of gin in which case we'll deny all knowledge but hiccough a lot

Evening SBH.  See you're counting the days.

16/04/2012 at 20:35
Money it is! I may also add in a bottle of gin if I can get to the supermarket
16/04/2012 at 20:46
That wasn't a hint Emmybug, just a comment on the sort of day I've had.  I've had to put a padlock on the gin bottle tonight
16/04/2012 at 21:05
But if a bottle of gin did slip into the supporters collections then clearly it wouldn't be an issue

And for anyone who missed it, 5 SLEEPS PEOPLES!!!!!!!!!!
16/04/2012 at 21:21

Thanks SBH she will see you at expo.

We will both be happy to see you all at mile 17. Well done to all the supporters.

Lets hope I get to mile 17 without niggles coming back, ice packs and rest are not what I have been used to in the last 6 months! Really missing training sessions and the quality 'me' time!

Good luck to all the other London marathon virgins

you supporters absolutely ROCK! fab ladies
16/04/2012 at 21:38
thank you thank you ... we're appearing for one day only ... blink and you'll miss us ... concentrate when you see the water station just before Mile 17 ... if it's in the same place as last year we will hopefully be on the same side but just past it.

All being well I'll be at Mudchute on Sunday, would you like me to provide a bottle of liquid refreshment?

Fizzy or SB?

I will also bring some jelly babies...for those running

16/04/2012 at 21:48
Either would be most welcome JD.  Will be lovely to see you again   At this rate I'm going to spend all the day hugging and chatting to people I haven't seen for ages.  I'll have no time for my runners.
