Hi there - is it too late to ask for support???? Pretty please??!

This is my first marathon - I have type 1 diabetes and running in a JDRF vest. Hopefully at mile 17 around 2:40-2:50.

My number is 41320 - oh and my name is Emma.
Thank you and can't wait!

Hi Emma, you can attach yourself to Group 2 if you want.  Please excuse all the poetry on the thread tonight

If you want to leave anything at the Expo we'll have it there for you at Mile 17   I'm sure you'll have a great day.

@TP - hint away... If I were you i'd be asking for "supporter contributions" Should I add in tonic water? or is pure gin enough?

Well done Vik W   I am sure it will be a lot easier this weekend.  Just don't strain your drinking hand in the run up to it.

Tonic ... well there's an idea ... ward off the cramp too ... slimline of course ... our bodies are temples

Gotta love our runners this year making sure us poor supporters will be okay - because obviously we've got the hard job, it's not like we have to go for a wee trot round 26.2 miles or nuffink....

@Sisterbadhabit - by the lookss of the weather this year - it might be better to give you a hot toddy!

No no no, the rain will be all gone by Sunday and it will be a perfect day for runners and spectators.  I have ordered it thus so it wil be.

Hehe, one of the lovely people who came to support me at Brighton said how hard it was holding up a sign when it was so windy ... and then said "not as hard as running a marathon, obviously!" It did make me chuckle

I'm super-excited to be supporting on Sunday, really looking forward to meeting everyone and cheering on all our runners. I know Vik has said this, but being involved with the VLM support crew is the BEST cure for post-marathon blues ever.

I can't wait to go to the Expo either, I missed the Brighton one because I got there too late on Saturday. I saw some people running with visors they bought at the Expo - very jealous! Hope they are also available at the London one.

Xine fear not, the VLM Expo has every bit of running kit ever thought of on sale plus a few more. You could spend a fortune.

Its one year today since VLM 2011' .... I smiled at the photo this morning and wondered where that slimmer smiley woman was hiding now .....

TP - one of my fave photos from last year is the one I took of you with ST and Fluffy Min, I always smile when I look at that one!!! x

Dont think I ever saw that one, can you email me a copy please? .
17/04/2012 at 17:46
I'll do it now

Fanks! I look knackered and grumpy. ST and mMin look good. Is that Soupy in the background? Blouse is the one taking the photo.
