Hope you are right about the weather TP.

I may have lost the plot but Dave Whittle is under group 6 but is also talking about group 5, he is on my spreadsheet. Is he very greedy?.....

Another post-Brighton marathoner here and I ran downstairs just now....(and no there was not a fire...).

Yes probably ... if he wants a footin both groups then its fine .... if he leaves stuff at the expo you can fight for the rights to hand over his gels

Well done on the stairs, did you forget to take it easy or are you not too bad?

Not too bad TP, just had a sports massage and the cooker was beeping... I sort of forgot, for a moment!

Feet are better than after the hot race I did 3.5 weeks ago. Tbh having done 2HMs, and a 10 miler in the last 3 weeks before Brighton, my body seems to have sussed the "get better as quick as possible, cos god knows what she has lined up for us mext week..." Little does it know a day of standing around screaming is on the cards!

Right folks, time for a visual aid. Here's where we'll be on the day. At about 16 and three quarter miles there's a sharp left turn at the Lord Nelson pub, and you start to head back towards the towers of Canary Wharf. We're a few hundred meters up the road. Last year we were on the right hand side - in the picture, if you can see the pelican crossing, we were just before there. Of course, there will be banners, balloons, and people bouncing up and down on the day .

Good visuals there RR.  We are planning on the right hand side just after the railings end.

Dropped off stuff at the Expo today the Veggie Percy Pigs have landed!

I am still not getting my head round the concept of a vegetarian pig .....

I usually join this thread as soon as it appears. However, having only got my place at the VERY last minute, on the day all charity entries had to be registered by, it slipped my mind until I was wandering around the Expo this morning. I'm 45504 and I'll be wearing the white vest, with green writing, of The PSP Association. No need to make any special arrangements for me...but I may grab a jelly baby or two if that's OK with 'you'.

I recently discovered that one of the original organisers of this annual Mudchute shindig, Fran Aitcheson [RW name: UltraMeerkat], is still going strong but not running as much as she used to. Her main interest now is her food web site. I hope to see y'all on the day...when I'll be aiming for 11 minute miles alongside the RW Pacing Group from the Red Start.

Meerkat was the first RW forumite I ever met in real life.

If you are in touch with her, give her my regards.

TP - if you'd have seen me carb loading the last few days, you'd have a pretty good idea of what a vegetarian pig looks like!

Off to the Expo for the first pick up tonight!!!!!! This is where it all starts to get real
19/04/2012 at 13:37

Yay can't wait to see everyone

Becks will be dropping off the banners at expo tonight but she has forgotten to pick up cable ties and string.  I don't mind bringing some but I won't get there until a bit later (after 9), if this is going to be too late for set up can one of the early starters bring some as well.
