Target 26.2 - 2014
Brilliant Malcs I sneaked a look at the results earlier while I was out moving my son.
Wayhayhay!!! Way to go Malcs!
Well done Malcs. Superb job.
Lou - really sorry you're not able to enjoy the build up to Paris. How is the injury rehab going? Are you still planning to go to Paris?
It'll be great to see yin at Spitfire!
chickadeee - I never thought I'd be able to run that quickly. Quite shocked myself!
Great to hear you had a nice bike ride!
Mr P - Ha Ha, many thanks!
Jen - cheers muchly! It was a much easier course than LLO!
Rob - thanks, were you there? I didn't see you. I ran with Olla (not sure I got the right spelling) and a couple of the other guys form Dulwich Runners. They were a great help!
Minni - I'm still sulking after the victory that never was today, France were awful and there for the taking. Can't believe we lost
Very impressed with Malcs running today. Thought a sub-20 was possible but 19:39 was pleasant surprise. It was Ola, Olivier and Gary from Dulwich and the 4 including Malcolm all finished within 8 seconds of each other which obviously helped.
was relatively warm sunny day today and did 40 miles on bike this morning after parkrun and then less pleasant 15 mile ride to Lee Valley in afternoon for British Masters Championships and went well. Clare broke her world W50 1500m record by six seconds and there was a club one-two in the W40 1500m and a W60 gold and silver medals in the M35 and M65 1500m
Superb superb, great sub 20 there Malcs, that is brilliant. you certainly feel the need for speed now.
I am happy to hand the cape over you are the official Superman of the thread.
Hi Malcs. No, I wasn't there but that's my local parkrun. I was run director last week for our 100th event, but my wife ran it and saw you all.
Great also to hear success at British Masters Champs. Amazing!
Steve - many thanks indeed. 19:39 was a surprise to me too, but that's mainly because my watch said 19:38!
That would never have happened if Rob had been race director
Wow, that is an amazing haul at the Masters. Clare is on fire. Another 6 seconds off an already brilliant time is just outstanding. You must be very pleased!
Sean - yeah very happy thanks. I'll have a think about the North Downs 30K. After Paris I'll need to sit down and see where I want to go from there.
The Concept 2 is a vom machine - a modern day torture device
SupermanRuns - ha ha, many thanks but I don't think it's a look I can pull off. I think you should stay as custodian of the cape
Did you get out yesterday or are you out today?
Rob - ah, shame you couldn't make it.
I'm not going to make any official complaints about the 1 second that seems to have been added to my time (not least because it could have been my own error)
Great course there. I really like the 3 laps and the fact that it's on a hard surface. Orpington will be nicer when the ground hardens but at the moment it's too muddy.
Malcs is having an easy Sunday I hope. Ran North Downs 30k a few times- fantastic scenery and well organised event but never enjoyed it that much in mid summer as it was always blazing hot and now think it is best to focus more on speed that time of year.
