"Last year I ran Brighton and was all set for 4.45 but that mini heat wave threw me but I still managed a new PB of 5.12! I'm running Brighton again next year and I have been working hard since April to lay solid foundations, religiously doing all my sessions and I have gone from a 11.30 min mile plodder to 10-10.30 min miles, Marathon PB 5.12"

I expect a stick of rock at least! love kk

hey everyone!

I don't really know where to start and honestly, I'm not normally stuck for words but what an amazingly cool thing to win!

my pitch at the top sums it up well, I want to nail it this year in Brighton and I hope you'll all come along for the ride!

Flatfooted what do you need from me? I'm basically following the ultimate sub 4.30 plan tweaked a bit as I do shift work so it has to fit around my days off! but I am open to suggestions of other ideas!

I've been pretty good up until last week when I missed two runs due to a painful shin and my bestfriends hen do but am back on the plan as of tomorrow!

I have a couple of bottles of bubbles left from the hen do..... anyone mind if I crack them open and we all have a glass?

Right then...so many questions!!..Is the ultimate sub 4.30 plan a RW plan?, when did you start it, average weekly milage, What and when were your last 10k and HM times? Do you run with a club or on your own?

I think that will do for starters.

It's ok i found the Ultimate plan...can't get into it mind as its in subscribers bit though!! Have you got it on excel or like?

If that plan is working for you then i would definatly not look to change it, maybe tweak it but we'll see.

Another question do you record your runs anywhere/use a garmin or alike, which will show splits/pace.

As Meldy has pointed out i'm running Brighton as well, havent concentrated on marathons for a few years but do have a best of 3.15, hoping to get around 3.45 this year...like you i hate it being warm, would much rather run in a minus 20 blizzard.

Of to work for me...catch up with you soon
