Can I do it over two weeks?

Ant - I'm not to sure about clicking on any of your links after that dodgy one the other day.

DD - Yes I've seen this one, are you planning to do the hardcore all in one go 67m, or the easier one over 2 days of 30+ miles.

Freemers - yes I could of gone sick again, but that would of put me into a formal process for sick. Basically your only alllowed so many days sick in a rolling 6mnths, and a total of 8 working days in 12mnths. This would of put me over, and better to try and stay out of it, otherwise Big brother are on your case more.

DD/ O4S Yes, I was thinking of doing Hadrians - though maybe dependent on that water tanker following behind me perhaps...;). Friend did it last year in 15-16 hours and had a fantastic time.

See how I survive TT50 & VLM first, with Edinburgh maybe as backup, Thunder Run after that. (hmm... which reminds me, email time Team Gazelle now Brol is safely home).

DD- Fast reps, very speedy with that recovery time.

Simon, sorry to hear you're not well again. 2-3 people here with that bug too.

I'm up for it. It's something I've often thought about.

The Wall sounds tempting...

Ant- I see you're doing the Surrey Spitfre 20m in March.  I did it last year as MP run and really enjoyed. Might be tempted to do it again. Didn't you do Finchley 20 last year? I seem to remember that we did the same 20m.

DD- damn fast 800s!

Free- enjoy the party tonight.

Who would they be exactly?

Simon - dodgy one?! it was a guardian news story  don't they get that up Norf

Bro - yeah I did the Finchley 20 last year and really enjoyed it, unfortunately it happens a little too close to Paris. The Surrey Spitfire looks like a good un and is a little earlier in the year.

I've updated the 2013 list. Only put on the main races, not the XC or the park runs etc.

Freemers - your Broadland Half date was wrong. I've corrected it.

Thanks

I'm relly not sure about doing the Wall, even over 2 days. Just not keen on trying an ultra, certainly don't want to train for one.  Can I do a pub crawl along the route instead?

I like Freemers pub crawl idea myself!

Was there talk of putting a team entry into Thunder Run?
29/11/2012 at 13:46

Same here Freemers. Unsurprisingly I have absolutely no interest in doing an ultra whatsoever and can't imagine I ever will - even if I had the endurance to do it I just don't understand the appeal of running really slowly for 16 hours .

Spoons -

Maybe we can act as bike support, riding alongside Team Minni cheering them on and providing cake on the move. Its even a substantial bike ride  especially as a lot of it is offroad.

But yeah ditto on the ultra thing. Doesn't grab me, a mate of mine is keen to get me to do the Lakeland 50. But come on 50 miles in the dark over the peaks of the Lakes - how is that going to be fun?! And I've read Feet in the Clouds

Ah Minni, when you said 'weaker' runners what you actually meant was 'faster'

No, she definitely said weaker

29/11/2012 at 14:53

But of course I meant 'faster'. Slip of the finger.

Ant - a couple of my untra friends have done the Lakeland 50 and they report it as mega tough.  I think a lot of it is on stony ground making running incredibly hard.

What was your time on Sunday again Spoons?

29/11/2012 at 14:57

Thanks for the nice welcome all. I will take the advice not to get too hung up about my time - I would say that for now 3:30 is an aspiration rather than a hard target. If I can do a decent PB in the Bath HM I think that will be a good indication that it's a realistic goal.

For now I will just concentrate on the Santathon in Dagenham on Sunday

Andy - Santathon - now you're talking! This it the sort of thread outing that we should be doing
