2old - beetroot hasn't given me red pee yet...but that is another reminder that Shaggy always told us to check the colour of our pee to make sure we were well hydrated before the race

I can't seem to concentrate on any work today...

For the first time I feel as if the hand is starting to improve and I'm off to the expo without a sling and just the inner dressing, plus glove. Need to get used to it being lower and a bit achey. Getting it looked at tomorrow.

2Old: I know exactly what u mean. On this day (Thurs b4 London) BA went out for his final short run and ruptured his quadricep tendon. I left him in hospital and came up to do the mara the he spent the next 6 weeks in hip to toe plaster followed by 6 weeks in a leg brace. Quite how we both survived without killing each other is the subject of on-going academic research!

OFS-I was once a divorce lawyer and would get protective injunctions for less threatening situations than that! Very positive news about the hand-will you have lost some arm muscle strength? At least you will be able to hold beer in both hands after the race

Ah, nice to put some names to a few more faces. Shaggy I knew though. Never forgotten.

Speaking of which, Has anyone heard from Mr Zuvai? Last online March 8th I think. Little bit worrying surely? Hope nothing wrong. I emailed him too but nothing.

I'm at the expo briefly friday, then meeting up with friends on Saturday morning too. Will try stick a Team Minni sticker on my bag somewhere.

old4speed, are you writing a sitcom, you seem to have enough material?

I have a 2 hour head start on you guys

Hamburg kicks off at 9am, which is 8am in the UK.

Freemers: Same here. Very hard work to concentrate properly although I have shedloads of work to do today    and I seem to take twice as long as normal . Guess I'm in for a bollocking soon ...

Love that pic Minni - it was the team first got together and realised we were actually genuine runners and not serial axe murderers....I think Shaggy was seriously worried about that

Well mostly not serial axe murderers......

Cool!

Yes Zuvai is still about.

So busy!

where's DD though??

18/04/2013 at 12:49

He's busy moving I think.

18/04/2013 at 13:06

Let's hope it's that and that he's ok. I was offline for 6 months or so after we relocated busy getting my new life on track and all that. So, he's excused

18/04/2013 at 13:06

I really must get some work done now

18/04/2013 at 13:12

I'll give him a nudge.

Spoons - I had the whole space to myself yesterday on that wall, now look at it! Glad to see O4S and AA have found it too

Last run out of the way - so that's it, my work is done, well until Sunday. My only exercise until then will be walking the dog (and he might be on short rations...sorry Abe!)

18/04/2013 at 13:54

I'm definitely going to look out the message on the wall.

Getting kinda excited now.

18/04/2013 at 14:21

Minni-only 'kinda'? ...understatement of the year I think

Good to see MrZ and DD are ok

18/04/2013 at 14:33

If I told you guys the barriers are starting to go up all round the course would it make you more excited?

Just done 6 with 4 at MP, which came a little easier this time than my last few runs.  Good news, but I'm still finding I need a couple of miles warm up to ease into it and the legs are still a little heavy.  Come on legs - do what I tell you!

FRC: My whole life is a sitcom!

We managed to meet up with Oompa and he escaped alive

I'm loving the excitement. I've done all my maras on my own... this is so much more fun!
