Fabulous!  Well done Minni

I will say that Dubai Dave works on a slightly different time zone so dont despair if he is a little late to the party

Good luck !!

He's not an IM yet to my knowledge but he is a really experienced runner and ultra runner, you are in good hands.

Fanbloodytastic.  He might not make me run a fast 10k

Well done Minni. Look forward to hearing all about your training.

The official thread had gone very quiet...

Cool, I have a special interest in the sub 3 and sub 3.30 threads as I really need sub 3.15 at London next year.

Crickey don't look to closely at this thread then KK.  I love to drop in at the sub 3.15 pad because they give loads of good advice but I don't think I'll ever get anywhere near that time.

Minni that sounds like a fine idea

I am pretty sure Dave is in this time zone at the moment but is probably caught  up with festive stuff so I would just drink yourself silly until he tells you otherwise !

YAY GO Minni!!!!

Congrats Minni. You might not get a free pair of trainners, but I have a feeling that this is going to be a much more positive and less pressured experience than that 'other' lot of S6ers!

Just to recap, which marafun are you running again and what's your current pb?

Now Now whats going on?

Minnni First off I'm not a Iron Man yet, though I'm working on that. I have though run a few of these marathon things and indeed have run sub 3-30, though there were many times not so long ago when I considered that impossible. So lets start by saying of course you can do it ,as after all its just a abstract number does it really matter if its 3-31 or 3-29? To the general public no it doesn't to a runner you bet your arse it does BUT at the end of the day it is a mental barrier more than a physical one.

So what marathon are you running? Whats your current PB and what schedule if any are you planning on following?

Apologies in advance for what I know will be  rather random postings over the next week or so as I'm currently travelling around the UK  visiting relatives and most of them being rather elderly have not embraced the internet!

Right now its a pretty good time to kick back and enjoy the good things in life so don't put that wine glass down just yet!
