Hi Rob.

Camping's not my bag (even in a van) but time away is always good. Hope you both enjoy your trips.

According to forecasts weather is due to be better tomoz so aim to do my long run then. Have 20 at 4.45 pace in mind just to see how it goes. Checked my shoes tonight and see that one of the heels is almost completely worn down, eek! Luckily there seem to be a few pairs in my size going cheap on Fleabay so have bought a pair.

Thinking of dropping Crawley. Still not got any accommodation sorted and I'm wondering if sub-consciously I don't really want to do it. Can always pick up another marathon later in the year.

Aimed for 20 miles at 4.40/4.45 pace (3.33.44/3.37.33). Managed 20.01 in 3.32.41

Need to do something about my pace in the early miles as am still going off far too fast. And my groin was a bit uncomfortable. Shin was a bit sore after the run too.

Other than that am a very happy camper

Oh and I got comedy tan lines

That is brilliant running. Keep a lid on the niggles.

I'll be looking for 3:40ish tomorrow depending on the hills.

Kaz - have been thinking about doing the Oppington half marathon? Is the half one lap of the marathon course?

It says the marathon course is two laps. I read that that a half runner got lapped by a marathon runner last year. We are staying in Maidstone that weekend as Bernard is doing a 100 mile bike ride on the Sunday.

Kaz - I was hoping to run the first half with the marathon runners. But the half run starts at 1pm and not 10am like the marathon. I could enter the marathon and just do one lap.

Had a dreadful run yesterday. Overall not much slower than Saturday but just felt awful and the gremlins were on over-drive telling me I can't do it!

It's been a glorious day here; I was tempted to go for a run but settled for a stroll with the dog.

I might treat myself to a few miles tomorrow.
