XB v Ultra Kazzaah
Well done T.
Have already done over half of last year's total. Course that doesn't take much doing!
Evening, my lovelies.
Something unusual happened today; I wrote a training schedule. Spurred on by your musings, Kaz, I thought I should have a crack at giving Stratford Mara a good go. I've jotted down 3 major sessions per week which I'll try and do to add a bit of speed. I'm reasonably happy with endurance; I could do better, but I should be OK.
My target is to dip under 4:20. I think it's possible as long as it's not a hot day. If it's hot then Chester will be the target.
There, I've said it. It's got to happen now.
Go for it XB!!
I made vague mutterings about sub-4.30 the other day but, luckily, only one person picked up on it!!
Hope you get shot of that cold soon T. Rotten feeling cr*p, especially when you've family things planned.
Was only thinking yesterday that I've been really lucky this year on the cold front. Had that pig of a cold I picked up in Berlin but since then barely a sniffle. Phew!
Got a bit carried away with it being light when I set out on my run this morning and ended up doing over double what I normally do of a morning. Slow though so it's put my morning out a bit!!
I read your sub 4:30 musings. My job is to get you sub-5 at Brighton but if you whop the arse of it and go sub-4:30 I'll be as chuffed as a chuffing chuffer.
It was your musings that got me to muse.
Perhaps you did double, Kaz, because subconciously you really love the early mornings
I hope your cold buggers off before the weekend, T. The thought of long strings of snot billowing behind you is not a pleasant one
Oh goodness I won't be sub-4.30'ing at Brighton!! Sort of more a target for autumn - Abo etc.
I think it was the shock of being daylight - and not being awake enough to realise I'd run past the turning I was planning to cut back on - that did it. Believe me I really can't see me turning into an early type!
Rest day for me Tomorrow is first tempo session and I'll have to do it early. I'm really excited.
Well done, Tracey.
I'm tempo-ing tomorrow morning.
Woo hooo. It's getting nearer; less than a month.
I did do tempoing and loved it. 5 miles of smiles
Well done XB.
I will be doing intervals and tempo runs after VLM.
Red laces arrived here too. Bit confuddled by being on a different start to previous years, get to see a different perspective I suppose!
Nice one XB. Runs have all been a bit same-y this week so a bit of tempo stuff would go down nicely. Next week methinks
18.63 done today. Slower (purposely) than last week but still sub-4.45 pace.
Brighton pack's arrived. Had forgotten I'd put such a cr*p expected finish time so am in the last pen. May scupper my chances of a decent time but will still give it a go
