Cheers Dd - no pressure!
Will - good to hear you have recovered well from your heroics & are already planning your next exploits!Interval session tonight - a bit shorter than usual but at same intensity .. 4 miles in total with 4 x 800 @ 7.04 / 400 recoveries @ 9.14.... have to say it felt relatively easy ... must be all this tapering!A few shorter runs this week and then I travel on Saturday morning (4 hrs), expo in the afternoon & a Bella Ristorante booked for Sat evening
Exciting times Ricky!!!
Ricky, I'm away in France as of tomorrow with no 3g I doubt. Best of luck for Sunday mate..
Been away from here for ages, training and work got in the way!
I did London the other weekend in 3:59:13 so very very chuffed!!! I ran the first half in 1:59:21 and the second half in 1:59:52 so not bad pacing.
Well done to everyone else.
Fantastic James - very well done! Brilliant pacing - very few people achieve even splits in a marathon - the vast majority have fairly exaggerated positive splits so that's great.
Suggests you had a bit more in the tank though which bodes well for your next one!
James, that's a very well paced run - never easy at London with the crowded course.
Have a good one at the weekend Ricky. I have a feeling there's a good time in you about to come out.
Cheers Will & Dave....... last run of my 18 weeks done this evening - an easy 3 miler. A total of 695 miles clocked up during those 18 weeks!I intend to do nothing other than stretch between now & raceday on SundayNoticed my HR slightly up on my easy run this evening so hope I'm not coming down with something!
Just nerves mate, classic tapercondria.
Good luck Ricky! Keep us posted! I've been a bit quiet of late as work has been manic, but I have done 3 runs a week for the last 3 weeks, so am getting back into a routine. Back at the derm a week Monday, who knows a bit of good news might prompt me to enter a race!
Lets hope it's positive news Rachel
Yes good luck Ricky - how's the carb loading going?
James - great running from you. Well done for sneaking in under the 4 hour mark with what looks like a very controlled run.
Rachel - great to see you back in the groove. Lets hope you get the news you are hoping for and that you are able to enter a race soon
Rachel - glad to see you are enjoying regular running again.. fingers crossed the Doc gives you the AOK.Dd - carb loading isn't going great... my normal diet is fairly carb heavy in any case so just upped my intake a little over last few days. No drastic changes for fear of upsetting bathroom habits *ahem*.
Dave - you are undoubtedly correct! Weather forecast is reasonable for Sun morn in Limerick - dry, sunny intervals, 14mph wind but 17deg which is a little bit warm for my liking.... what will be will be.Off in the morning and have a long journey - straight to the expo, then check in to hotel and off out to the best italian in Limerick! Probably not get back online until tomorrow evening in the hotel
Dave - I seem to remember you saying that you were running the Richmond Park HM this weekend. Best of luck with that.
Ricky - best of luck tomorrow.
Thanks Carl, I am indeed.
A final good luck from me Ricky!
What time are you aiming for in the half Dave?
8 miles for me this morning...I'm definitely making a comeback!! Watch out Carter!!
Best of luck tomorrow Dave
8 miles ? Is that it ? I'll have you know that I have run 1.2 and 1.5 miles this week
Good running Rach, I'm chuffed your getting out there again and putting in some decent miles.
1:16;19, so just a few seconds slower than Wokingham which I'll take, 2 weeks post London. With the added bonus of a county half marathon championship (old men's division).
Good to see you on the comeback trail Rachel. Once you've got the all clear from the dermy we'll have to find a relay race for you and carter to enter together.
