The course had accurate splits for 50K and marathon

We didn't let DanA have his new 1/2M pb from his 20 mile race, so I'm not so sure about marathons PBs in ultras... very harsh I know..

I just want us to get to 20 posts so that we can get that annoying table off the page..

i've cycled every day this week (day 4 time trial 56:35), but i have not done any running. my legs are like jelly at the moment and the cycling seems to drain all energy. i get that cnba feeling in the evening...

the problem is without being allowed to use my ultras I may not run another marathon this year. I only did Abingdon as a genuine marathon last year as a short notice entry and this year it is the same day as GSR.

Ok I may do the tripple but I will not be sub3 state if that is the case.

Looks like Cardiff the week before GSR and two weeks before the tripple is back on.

I'm sure biking was helping my running a few months ago, now I'm not so sure.. I'm just knacked all the time.

nichs2, are you eating enough ? Cycling burns just as many cals as running, specially if you are time trialing it...

Gobi Looks like you're in if His Royal Floppiness DN and Professor CM give you the thumbs up. Post up the ultra split quickly before the revolting masses arrive.

So the markers are down for FWOTM(JJA)10k vII then. Looking forward to it - I'll be the one limping at the back who'll look like I could maintain the pace for a number of years but have absolutely no chance of upping it at all to match you guys.

I quite fancy the triple too, sounds like a nice adventure. But I think this year I would prefer to try and move up the sub 3 table a bit, mind you don't know if that is going to be feasible and I suspect things are going to get a smidge competitive around the autumn time ;-)

RB - I've removed your seond best effort, principally as it was a lot better effort than my best effort.
Crab - I did notice in this new table however this effort was slightly better than your best effort - come on now sort it out.

Added myself to the Cardiff Autumn marathon of choice list and the Dublin list. Also planning to do both.

crab - Exactly was what I was getting at. That old women must be the mum of the mad Irish Priest who disrupted the FLM 05 and Athen. She cost me 30 secs in London, but did say twas nice nice not to be rushed in crossing the road.

The old table had your Paris time, and whilst I knew you did 2:55, was not sure what the seconds were.

No running for past few days with achilles flaring up again - grrr.

Calculated based on a temp forecast of 23°C, with a warm Southerly breeze blowing. Same conditions as when I ran 3.25 at Halstead in 2004. If anyone gets within 5 mins of a PB I'll be amazed.

Crab, how is the experiment going ?

CM Ashamed to say CNBA Monster got me this morning. So it will be starting tonight @ 9pm @ 14km/h - probably ;o)

Gonna womble (12.5km/h) for two miles before launching into the main test so it will end up a 10mile work out with 8 @ experiment pace - so less than 56minutes to endure. (Should start it next week really as it would fit in nicely with operation World Cup - doing two things that annoy the bread knife at once might be a better idea than doing them seperately. Didn't just try and 2nd guess a female reaction did I? Oh bggr now I'm for it.)

So in short I haven't experienced any Cardio drift as yet.
