also have a big party tonight, friends 40th anniversary, oh my goodness, and one is 65 and retiring too so should be fun!
done heaps of cycling yesterday and a bit today, feeling good
whats everyone up to?
Hard core FIDO But agree with others you know you can do the distance so take care. Although AH would be better to ask, Fields hill is VERY tough on the legs and feet after 60K . With your injurys have you decided to go for a finish or Bronze? Im counting the days till you go. So wish I was going back. O well knowing SD as soon as he gets home he will set up the new thread and then
FRC- 2010 was 5 at the start 24 by the end!
Martin, of course I would love a bronze but I don't think it's likely. My right leg got jealous of the left and has been playing up, but I think it's the sort of thing that rest doesn't do much for. But am doing lots of massage, icing, blah blah.
I would just like to finish feeling I did the best I could on the day.
Fido- Everyone feels like that on the day as long as they beat the gun! Sounds like you have the right attitude but then you always do.
Tu-Tu- Do I shout at you or admire your attitude both I think.
10 miles this morning nice and easy by the canal. No watch made me rememeber what running should be about. BLISS
Tutu - sometimes you just need a bit of lounging around to recover!
Susan - that sounds nice.
Ran our local hospital 10k yesterday -after two weeks of not running - aim just to take it comfortable but not too comfortable - followed a lady in a green vest most of the way round and managed a respectible 47:01. Still not happy as felt faster and one of my club rivals was a minute faster. Got another 10k today and not sure my legs will manage it.
New look to the thread! Not too bad except they seem to have lost the "last post" link where you could pick up from where you left off.
News: I did a gentle two mile run yesterday. Left hip was a bit stiff but no reaction today so I'm quite pleased.
