Mr U - I believe that life cannot get better than sat in a gloomy office unless you win the lottery - I was going to be impressed with your pyramid session if it was around your house as I would then assume you lived in a mansion.
Would you like my job in London and I would have took yours in Sheffield, that is much closer for me, I could commute in half an hour. My job is not secret. I am a slave to the corrupted criminals in our world who require a defence. I do however defend the upper class criminals who allegedly defraud people. We could do a job swap?
mcs - you must be near me as I have done Grindleford for 3 years on the run, my favourite race ever. I am going to do half of it in a few weeks just so I can go to a cafe and eat cakes after
WT - job swop sounds interesting so I get to dress as a lady two days a week and you a man for three!! I like how you class you clients as criminals rather than innocent people wrongly accused of defrauding people - so I know where you stand!
cicero I can never remember a race as good as FRC did either!
Frc oh wow oh wow what a report and what a race! So good.
wt, the bottom will get used to it!
mcs I am doing north o the thames on saturday, xctry race
umbongo happy birthday!! cabbage patch sounds like my kind of run
still losing weight
Well done Wabo, you are doing fab.
WT if it makes you feel better - we did spend the hour after race eating tons of cakes. It was like a car boot sale but with everyone offering free cakes, tea & coffee. They wouldn't even let me get to the bacon butty van.
Umbongo, have a great day or two. what do you have planned for your birthday?
mcs, I like the sound of the Grindleford run, I'm after some varied 20 milers in March for VLM training. Jovi's Blubberhouses is the 7th April and too late.
Wishful I have done most of the GG in training and run to work or cycle down the Monsal Trail most days. I will be signing up to do the GG next year. I am lucky to work in Bakewell in a warm office. Did four years working in London that was enough!!! I have still not done sub four 4.08 is my best..... GG is 21 miles so ideal FRCat. Its the 9th of March and a Saturday race. So a great race pre London.
Wabo, he must have been writing notes on the way round. =)
Happy Birthday Umbongo, I'm sorry I was late. I am most obsessed by my own birthday, I must confess. =)
Good pictures on the website for Grindleford Gallop....... Wabo all the best for Saturday............. do a fair bit of xctry here in the Peaks.
Hello everyone . Were you not a teeny bit tempted by Sheffield, UmB? J is considering the uni there. (Which naturally would make all the difference to you...).
Still no running but after visit to mystic fizz yesterday I'm hopeful. Won't go into what she thinks is going on but it involves coronary ligaments (in the knee, not heart) and a nerve she can't remember the name of getting irritable because of a bit of tight calf. The Hen WILL go to Brighton . But def no more going round and round in almost-circles doing sessions. Or lunges that go off in funny directions.
Feeling as if I've accomplished something today. Have almost finished my accounts and along the way have spotted I'm still paying a STO to insure a phone I no longer have (and in fact was insured anyway so I didn't need the insurance in the first place so it's too late to get that back). And - triumph of triumphs - I've called out someone to look at the washing machine cos it's making funny noises. Small things...
Reading or Fleet... Reading or Fleet?
As Half Marathons go they are both very good... although Reading HM claims it will full soon (as if!)
Umb - you may sway my decision, you up for one of them (or anyone else in fact)?
Dave - I looked at them today. I like both of them (Reading a bit more) but Fleet is cheaper!! I may just go for cheaper option...you chose one and I will go for the other!! I am in no shape at moment (having eaten chocolate Birthday cake!) to give you a run for your money.
Fleet it is then
Fleet & Reading both 17th March... Fleet is the far more relaxing of the two. We could make it a thread get together...
i'll do Fleet .
Off for a run in the pool.
ooh dtf thats my birthday! sub four race? lol!
I really think I would have to take notes susan, dont know how else I could do such a good report, think my brain switches it all off after!
nice days work yesterday hen!
Susan - I am fairly sure I will get a subsidy, am truly sick of living out of hotel rooms once a week - pyramids with lego sound ace! After 10th sounds fab for me
I'd be tempted to enter Fleet or Reading as well if it is logitiscally possible - only thing is I have a possible race the week after so I need to give it some thought.
I was a supreme athlete last night and did hill reps with my friend, it was a bit boring and we talked a lot and then ate chocolate, is that the right thing to do?
Hen - saw your clip of you just dropping into the sea, as you do - much respect!
Lets do Fleet then (he says as he quickly applies for place in Reading!) sounds like fun It the one a lot of my club do but I think it clashed with Cranleigh 21 this year.
WT - enter Fleet. AH and me have just trotted round and chatted (AH talks and I nod while looking at the scenary!). DtF usually speeds rounds in a flash of lycra!!
Can I eat chocolate during it as well as chat and trot?
