Scott go on the Grindleford Gallop website, download the Google Maps route and put it into Google earth now theres a hilly route 21 miles too!!!  The edale skyline is one I fancy doing too. Done most of the GG route in training  need to iron out a few more navigational issues before race day.......March 9th. The Mam Tor route is lovely on a sunny day when the mist is in the valley.

"Some great news for the Brighton Marathon is our 2013 race will be televised, something we’re incredibly excited about. Channel 4’s cameras will be out and about on race day, with a one-hour highlights show going out soon after the race. We know that will fire you up to wear your Sunday best and put your best foot forward - a few thousand times!"

TV fun....must do Brighton one day my mum was brought up there........

Just done an interval session in driving rain and wind tough!!! One mile uphill over 500 feet straight up took me 10.37 then 7.16-7.16-7.42-7.17 so dead now time for lunch me thinks........

Well done mcs. I haven't been out running for days...  But I have done all the Christmas shopping, what feels like most of my family's shopping, made the pud, a stew Boxing day, been to the post office 20 times, decorated the tree, turned the spare room back into a spare room... so am feeling it's been worth not running to get on top of things.

It's our annual carol singing tonight round the village - lovely weather for it!

I must be crazy, it is windy and chucking it down! And I am offout in it, oh well, the madness of the long distance runner.
20/12/2012 at 20:27

no running for me either AH - since sunday .. just food and alcohol this week...

20/12/2012 at 21:24
Wabo, did you geta club place?
This evenings run was awsome! It was chucking it down as we were getting out of the car. Just tne 3 of us. 8 miles in rainy, blustery conditions, not really gotmuch of an idea about splits as my fingers stopped working due to the cold! Absolutely loved it, one of my fave runs in ages!! Oh, and the 3rd step I took was ankle deep in a puddle!

Checking in to see if Wabo got a VLM place

Susan, you would've been proud of my "interval" session tonight. *

After travelling to relatives, It went something like, cuppa, rest, 2 biscuit dash, rest, , biscuit.
Then a short break, moved upto the advanced group, which was wine, food, wine, food, wine, rest, dessert.

Zzzz

* ok, did do circuit at 7am this morning though, and out for a run tomorrow morning.,
21/12/2012 at 08:36
You can't do it FRC you have to mention your circuits and running every single time....
