I know! Cheeky flower man. He does want to get faster than Umbongo too...

Good luck with the XC Susan. I'm "washing my hair". Actually left leg is very tight, achilles area especially which is one i had all trouble with, 40 plus miles already this week, so applying sensible Less is More principle.

LO65, it was off of amazon, just asked the mrs and it turns out it was ??20, still cheap as chips I reckon.
Just been and done a very refreshing 6 miler, down by the river and through town.
Didn't have to dodge to much dog poop, but had to do a very deft side ways step a couple of times to avoid piles of sick! Oh the joys of living in town.
This not boozing in january lark is great, if I'd had a few beers last night, I wouldn't have gone out this morning!

Thanks Scott will look at Amazon

FRC not doing cross country. It is our club handicap tomorrow so saving myself for that. BTW loved the race report!

Middlesex champs at Wormwood Scrubs ... Or marshes .. What was I thinking. 8 km! To huge laps of slipping and sliding. Everyone looked about 14 years old and had short shorts on! Luckily I ran with a mate and we decided on the second lap it was easier to chat a bit .. Helps with breathing I find. We were not last, second lap went much quicker! A Heathside runner at the end said we were annoying her with our chat ....oooops .. She was at least 10 or 15 years younger and we over took her ... How annoying, did not mean to. Legs tired. Must try that again with spikes!

She was just jealous, Susan.

Sorry Scott, my husband is an actor and was in Casualty with a dislocated shoulder then he threw himself off a building and his leg nearly fell off. None of it was real though he is not really a coach driver in real life

Dave racing shoes. Hmmm Here is a tip... zzzzz?

Slack I'm sure the other runner was just jealous. Or wanted to chat. Did you not wear spikes then? Sounds like a good run.

Scott, Gordon is a famous actor, you would probably recognise him. Little John in Robin Hood, Red Cap, the National Lottery, the odd Taggart, Sherlock the recent one, and Absolutely comedy series (which I remember him for). About right St Susan?.

I have been practicing intervals of beer/ food/ beer/ recovery.

I am now on the same page FRC.
Well, been up nearly an hour, now, porridge consumed, banana on its way. Off for a 14 miler with my speedy running buddy at 10. It will be his longest ever run, he is faster thsn me, but he isn't one for endurance, shoud be fun. Looks like a lovely morning for it!

FRC - love your stats... wish mine were so impressive!

Well, todays run was......diffetent.
We set off in glorious sun shine, lovely and warm. Planned to do 12 miles, took a wrong turn at mile 8..... the fog then descended, baring in mind, all the long straight fen roads around here all look identical, it was a bit disconcerting, as the miles ticked by and we didn't know where we were.
Finally got back to the car freezing cold, and shatteted, 16.5 miles in 2 hours 20. Is that about 8.30 per mile on average? Splits were all over the place though.
Got back, to a hot bath and big bowl of porridge!

Bloody hell Scott .. That was quick! Glad you found your way back! I did a very slow 7 miles but third day in a row running so will take the rest of the week off

Nice one scott

First 20 miler done (2.53) walked up the all the little "ups" feels like a good starting point. Depending on weather may have a crack at a sub 4 as part of my 50K. Feels like a good challenge

Cheets slack and martin, I haven't stopped eating since I got back home!
