1 year exactly to train for my 2014 marathon, hopefully will be able to crack the miracle 4.

Hi martin, I went for a run around boston yesterday evening with a couple of pals, they were in Ts and shorys, I almost cooked in long sleeved top and tights!

In gear news, I got a petzl tikka head torch for christmas, it was only about ??15, but is superb, nice wide beam to illuminate the pitch black footpath in front of us last night.

Good luck with the XC Susan. I'm "washing my hair". Actually left leg is very tight, achilles area especially which is one i had all trouble with, 40 plus miles already this week, so applying sensible Less is More principle.

LO65, it was off of amazon, just asked the mrs and it turns out it was ??20, still cheap as chips I reckon.
Just been and done a very refreshing 6 miler, down by the river and through town.
Didn't have to dodge to much dog poop, but had to do a very deft side ways step a couple of times to avoid piles of sick! Oh the joys of living in town.
This not boozing in january lark is great, if I'd had a few beers last night, I wouldn't have gone out this morning!

FRC not doing cross country. It is our club handicap tomorrow so saving myself for that. BTW loved the race report!

Middlesex champs at Wormwood Scrubs ... Or marshes .. What was I thinking. 8 km! To huge laps of slipping and sliding. Everyone looked about 14 years old and had short shorts on! Luckily I ran with a mate and we decided on the second lap it was easier to chat a bit .. Helps with breathing I find. We were not last, second lap went much quicker! A Heathside runner at the end said we were annoying her with our chat ....oooops .. She was at least 10 or 15 years younger and we over took her ... How annoying, did not mean to. Legs tired. Must try that again with spikes!

Sorry Scott, my husband is an actor and was in Casualty with a dislocated shoulder then he threw himself off a building and his leg nearly fell off. None of it was real though he is not really a coach driver in real life
