Slow, steady but determined.
Welcome dj gj - you sound like a lot of us on here - used to be runners some of us still there and some getting back to it! There tends to be more gossip on here than running talk sometimes but we like it that way!
We do have a wealth of experience though going back years!! Not all of it useful mind you
Thanksgiving here tomorrow so we are heading to a resort and spa for a few days
You ok after your fall Diana?
Have a good time TS
Good luck Tracey
I've had a blog published on the net again for Womb Cancer Support UK I've done a fair bit of 'navel gazing' this week and decided to put it down on 'paper'.
Link to the blog please Roobs.
It was so windy here yesterday that I had the fright of my life. Was sitting working away at the computer in "Roobs Room" which is north facing and so was sheltered from the wind. All of a sudden a gust got up and blew the window as wide as it would go. Thought it was going to come off its hinges.
Had to go to the dentist yesterday (another battle with the wind!). Two bliddy fillings - £100 for the two!!!! We do have a sort of dental insurance in that our dentist is private and the insurance means that we only pay NHS rates for anything that we have done and all our check-ups are free, What really rubs it in is that he's so busy I my appointments are not until January! He must be raking it in
I didn't hurt myself at all when I fell, Roobs - just knelt in the soft mud and got very dirty! It's quite a long time since I last fell, and this was a bit different, as my feet just slipped from under me, rather than me tripping over something (or nothing, as I seemed to do on a long run with TS!)
Luckily we got an NHS dentist Lyndy, and they seem very good. Treatments involving fillings are about £22 I think. It does look as though I may need one of my teeth crowned next year, and that will be a painful £200, but it will be a nice colour matched porcelain(?) or whatever is the current preferred material. Not the thing I'd most want to save up for though
Fingers are crossed for you Tracey - when do you hear?
Welcome dj gj
Ouch Lyndy and yes, was rather windy!
ok, here is the blog that was put on the Womb Cancer Support UK website the other day - this came about after a lot of thinking about things (which is always a bit dangerous where I am concerned lol)
Roobs, you write some very good stuff , from the heart. Proud to call you a friend x
Mawning this grey and dull Mawnday
Thanks TS - I just write it as I see/feel it x
Not that good T Had a pain all day that I am a little worried about Hospital on Thursday so will mention it then. Hoping to be ok for club tomorrow night. Do you want me to pick you up again?
Thanks again to Tracey - 3.41m done in 39:53 20 mins out and 20 back so a negative split by 7 seconds lol
