Just copied this from the Brighton Marathon entry place.  They're having a JOKE!!!!

Entries are priced at £50 for the first 2,000 entries.  When the 2,000 limit is reached the price of entry will increase to £60 until Friday 17th May at 5pm.  From this time the price of entry will increase to £70 until Friday 14th June when entries will close

How much????   Are those normal entries?

16/04/2013 at 16:44
I paid ??43.95 at Expo
16/04/2013 at 17:04

It was £40 plus processing at Expo and I presume there will be processing charges to add to the fees quoted above too

They're having a tin bath!!!!!!

Glad I entered at expo!

Blimey, well done you lot for getting out there and fantastic PB Tracey. My residents association did a relay marathon on Sunday, we did either 5k or 10k in groups to and from my house to the pier and passing an inflatable torch and raised money for a local charity called We Play Too which supports children with a disability. Lovely day for it.

Hello everyone Sorry I've not been around - been a bit preoccupied with something.

The club 5k race last week was brilliant (ish!) It was off road with a couple of hills included. I was about a minute outside my best 5k time so far this year but as off road is harder, I'm ok with that. Room for improvement though

Then I did 6 hard miles off road on Sunday

I'm so tired tonight that I am off to bed now. I have had a couple of rough nights lately. Catch you all later

Ahem.  Think I might go for a little trottette tomorrow.  What do you think?

07/05/2013 at 20:22

You might get wet tomorrow Lynda

Go Lyndy

08/05/2013 at 09:49

Well, there is a gap in the weather this afternoon before the rain creeps back in so might manage to get out ther.  Only problem is that I've woken up with the most awful sinus headache.  I always get them when the weather pressure drops, which I'm guessing has happened with the rain following all the lovely weather we've had lately.  Sudafed taken and should soon start to sort it out

08/05/2013 at 15:55

Lyndy - hope you managed to get out there? I suffer from sinus headaches as well, I fine Sinutab are quite good!

My running has been going okay, still only up to an LSR of about 6.5 miles, but plodding on! I ran this morning and have a sore knee now...hopefully just a little blip! Have taken my daughter to an emergency consultant appointment today. Poor thing has been going down hill for a few weeks...more tests

08/05/2013 at 21:14

((( MWW ))) Do they know yet what is wrong with your daughter?

Did you get out Lyndy?

09/05/2013 at 09:18

Oh dear MWW, your poor daughter. She's certainly being put through the mill lately.

And no, I didn't manage to get out yesterday Cinders.  I had far more work to do than I thought and by the time my sinus had settled down it was late into the morning.  Was juggling with three things yesterday and it took me a lot longer than I thought to get it all done  Might get out today, but I've managed to get lumbered with some more work.  If that doesn't take too long I'll try to get out for a mile or two.

09/05/2013 at 19:30

Well, I didn't get a run today, but I did have a l-o-n-g walk with Benson and my son Paul and anyone who knows Paul (6ft 4" and really long legs) will know that I was almost running trying to keep up with him.  We went over the hills behind the park so it was a very strenuous walk so conscience salved this time.  Back and hips were killing me though so I'm sure it was muchy harder work than any run I would have done  It all counts
