How was your run this weekend?

Found out this morning that painting ceilings loosens my legs getting up and down of the chair for more paint. Just as well as no space to roll my legs.

always trying - welcome What marathon are you doing?

28/08/2013 at 20:39

Abingdon, hence the 5hour panic!  5:30 seems more comfortable, but I need to exit comfortable for once!

Weekend run disaster, hurt my leg but managed 5 miles comfortable at a 11mile pace last night.  Looking forward to a long run this Friday though.

Abingdon was my first marathon in 2005 ????

Hi always trying

I did my 18 miler at the weekend. I think I could have done the last two miles faster if I had got down on all fours and crawled lol!

Ha ha ha, I know that feeling roobarb!  But you did it and that's what counts!

i am looking forward to a long run this weekend mentally I am prepared to run it which I think is good!

So how did it go AT??

I did a 10 mile run last night and honestly it killed me, no idea why, maybe it was the hills or the speed but whichever it was it was a struggle!  I incorporated it in to my Monday night club run.  I did 4 before we met and then did 6 with the rest of the club which was a good job, otherwise I would have givn up and walked!  I was already worn out at about 5 so not sure what it was.  Hadn't been feeling too great the last couple of days, headachey and sicky feeling so maybe that wss why.  Everything ached when I was running, ankles, knees, quads, hammys, back, shoulders - the lot really  Had a lovely warm bath when I got in and had a good long sleep.  Legs were stiff this morning but OK now.  Why do we do it eh??

You're doing great with your running Roobs!

Heading to USA on Friday, back in Nov!

04/09/2013 at 18:16

what a great thread!!! I would dearly love to run my next marathon at 5 hours, but my first was 5.45 so Im a long way off!!

04/09/2013 at 18:40

Hi Deirdre, my first marathon was 5:54 at the age of 40. Finally got it down to 5:07 this year at Brighton ????

04/09/2013 at 23:06

Ran 10 miles tonight.  Have to work out why my shoe is bruising my foot and giving me horrific crap at the end.  The run was good though and I felt positive during it.  Some cheesy tunes helped me out!

Wow Tracey thats fantastic!

Hi Deidre!  Welcome to the thread  When is your next Marathon?

Tracey, my half is 27 Oct so loads of time to get a few more runs in, although back in US now, temps in the low/mid 30's so may struggle a bit with the heat/humidity, I think there will be some early mornings happening!

AT, are your shoes tied too tight?

Hello everyone And welcome Deidre

I am now in taper mode for Loch Ness. Its going to be a slow one but I don't care - I will be there and that is the main thing

Do you remember Mokina who used to come on here a couple of years back? She moved back to Italy about three and a half years ago. She is over for a few days and I met her for lunch today She looks great and is still running Hopefully I am going to visit her next year She said to say hi to you all It was lovely to catch up with her; we think it could be as long as 5 years ago that we went for lunch  Where does the time go?

14/09/2013 at 20:45

Roobs - I remember coming to your pub and having lunch with Mokina and you ????
