Tell me what you think. How about the club (URWFRC) booking 100 or so room for the London Marathon and trying to get some club, group discount.

What do you think?

Sounds like a good plan, especially the bit about doing it well in advance and telling peopole about it. I discovered, 2 months after booking my place at the Thistle, that my charity had arranged a discount somewhere else. Wouldn't have made any difference to my choice as it happens, but would have been nice to know.

The Charing Cross Thistle is the best because it is where the trains go from and it is walking distance from the finish so you dont need kit bags. I have stayed there 3 times and it is great but you have to book early.

Pat...the Trafalgar Thistle is pretty much as close being just off Traffy Sq. Reasonable rates too...we'll see about block booking rates at the weekend....
