Rio - hope it's not too late to thank you for my gels at mile 17.  It was my first Marathon and although I'd hoped to make sub-4, suffered in the heat and finished in 4h33 but without those gels I'd have taken even longer!  I was unable to speak by the time I'd reached mile 17 so hope my sweaty hug wasn't too offputting - you guys did an excellent and most needed job.  Not going to run next year (2 little ones at home and need to spend more time with them - hadn't appreciated how time-consuming training would be) so might come and help for a bit at mile 17 next year.

Thanks again,

 Ben aka Bongerman

It was good to see you Bongerman and the sweaty hug was not a problem.  I look forward to you returning the favour for me next year.   I would love to do 4:30 so be proud of what you achieved in those tough conditions!

Wow GFA?  That would be fantastic!

Think I prefer a 100mile bike ride to a 20 mile long run!  lol

im sure once im into the bike I'll be the same....though i do love the 20 milers.....lol ..

3:19:12 to beat so i'm sure i can find 4 minutes 13 seconds from somewhere

If you are training for IM the extra strength your legs get from hills on the bike should give you the 4 minutes.  I have 26 to find!!  lol
