I have just completed my first VLM in 3.56.42 and I couldn't have done it without the Runner's World 9 min mile Pacer. I joined him at mile 8 and stayed with him every step of the way. I'm chuffed to bits with my time and it really is all thanks to him. I don't know his name but he must have been late 40's/early 50's and he had a Northern accent. If anyone knows the fella please please please can you thank him from me - I was the bald guy in the bright yellow top and green shorts.

He was great,I tagged along with him until halfway but then dropped off,he was full of encouragement,preparing everyone for what was coming,making sure everyone was loking out for and helping eachother,just sorry I didn't have the legs to stick with him.
