Can any help by confirming you are automatically given a place in 2014 if you defer this year's run? I am sure that was the case, but want to make doubly sure.

Providing you inform LM head office before 21/04/2013 you will automatically get a place in 2014, but you will have to pay the entry fee, in full, again. Good luck with next years training

Hi pete I deferred last year but it does cost again and when they send you this years email they state under no circumstances can you defer twice. Hope this helps.

i was going to say as long as you didn't defer last year.only one deferral allowed....and you can do it up to the theday before so can take your time to decide

Its an interesting thing this deferal up to the day before ......... so what happens if say 3,000 people tell the organisers on the 20th that they wont show up till next year ..... do they fill the empty 3,000 slots?

I think they work out in their planning that there will be a certain percentage of no-shows.
Not sure what happens if everyone shows up on the day.

I guess with such huge numbers, its probably easy to get a fairly predictable % of no shows ......  anyway Im not going to go on about it, because I can see you already shaking your head at the thought of me banging on about VLM again there Millsy.

Feel free to carry on banging on about it. It's very entertaining.

To be honest, Im boring myself now talking about the VLM..........

Being Mr. Boring, I read some time back that they allow for a 10% drop out in the planning stage LOL

That'll be what they call "Davids"; people who get a place after years of moaning then don't use it.

If you defer your London place do you need a medical certificate from a doctor or do they take your word for it that you are ill or injured and give you a place for the following year (I know you have to pay again).

No certificate needed. They don't want any sick people feeling forced to run because they have a place. That's bound to lead to trouble.

Thanks cougie
