warm up races - Spring Marathon

Running FLM for first time next year (its my first marathon after doing dozens of halfs) and wondered what races people would recommend as warm up races? i'm based in London....

Move to the north and do the Coniston 14 and the Trimpell 20...

Defo a 20... Stafford do a 3 lap 20, I did it this year... although 2007 means Trimpell for me ;-) Want a flat one, Stafford's a tough race!

I do the Brands Hatch half at the end of Janusry, The Fleet Half the middle of March, the Bournemouth half at the end of March & the Reading Half Early April. I find this along with my mid to long runs ample prep. Happy Days

If you are near Cambridgshire there is the Folksworth 15 miles in January, and the Stamford 30k in February!

LIVING IN LONDON ALWAYS INCLUDE SUSSEX BEACON HALF IN FEB, THANET 20 MILER WHICH TENDS TO BE ABOUT 7 WEEKS BEFORE FLM AND THEN PADDOCK WOOF HALF WHICH IS 3 WEEKS BEFORE.
