Tek - yep the purple bikini clad pompom girls certainly put Frankfurt into a different class of marathon than any I've been at! The Scots are perhaps a bit more circumspect

NP - great hat

14.5 miles today (halfday) mostly in the light but very muddy and wet underfoot in parts. A good antidote to the stress at work!
That'll be the furthest since Loch Ness too.

Well done on everyone's training.  No running from me at the mo as I've now got a sore throat so I'm really hoping it's not going to turn into anything else.

A very fast finish Teknik - impressive! I normally crawl/stumble over the line.

OH and Stuart you both seem to be making a good recovery from Loch Ness.

4 miles easy last night then sports massage today before getting out for 10.1 miles. Nice and mild here (10 degrees and breezy). Just noticed when I put it on Fetch that exactly the same time as last week's - 1:22:38!

Thanks.  I've had 3 days off the phones now (work in a call centre) and it's driving me potty as I really enjoy speaking to people all day.  The usual format is a sore throat for a week, then a cough for a week and then feeling crap for a week then back to normal in the 4th week.  Hopefully with having a flu jab before this all started I'll get away with sore throat.

Legs here seem to be recovering nicely from my October marathons 4.01m tempo run on the track (mainly for floodlights!) for me tonight in 23.51 (5.57av) and 2.01m warm down in 13.54 (6.55 av)

Thanks.  The annoying thing is I feel fine in myself it's just the voice and if you can't talk you're no good on the phones.

I think we must be opposites - I talk to folk all my working day but quite enjoy my own company after work (and Elspeth's of course although she complains if I get too monosyllabic!) Talk time on home phone and mobile is minimal too.

Fiona_C - just my sort of conditions - everyone complained of the heat when it got to 20C in local HM here last summer!

NP - sounds a nice rewarding local run.
We have a a slightly shorter distance u our local Wideford Hill with super views all around Orkney (yes 360º) on a good day.

I'm very much a people person and one of the first things I do is get on RW and Facebook either asap after work or dinner which ever is the easiest.

I was just thinking the same about jason's warm down Teknik!

An easy 6 miles for me last night on the treadmill. Middle 4 at 13.2 - 13.4k/hr. Had to leave the HR belt off as it keeps cutting me across the ribs and when I get into the shower - ouch!
