Welcome back mace and welcome Darren.

AGF, good running. Nice that Lulu gets a rest in her schedule.

More great training NP, think I'll do a double on Thursday.

Teknik with 2 weeks rest and some cross training the knee will soon get better. No consolation I know.

Nicely timed run jason!

5 miles for me last night with 3 at 6:54mm, was going to do short faster stuff but legs felt really heavy even although no run the day before - might have been the weights/turbo?

Welcome Spark/Darren Training pre-Christmas as you will see is a big thing on here as 99% of people on here will be doing a marathon in the spring.

Jason nice run.

Teknik ditti what Fiona said cross training will keep your fitness levels up.

Fiona thats still a great session with 3 miles sub 7mins.

First of two runs today done 1 mile warm up 4 miles Tempo 1 mile steady very cold and with a stiff wind it was hard work in mile 3. splits: 7:55, 6:31, 7:02, 6:17, 6:27, 7:13.

Hello!  Yes, I am still somewhere on this planet and still running too.  We've had a bit of an eventful year with my mother-in-law and things are still up in the air.  Running has been fitted around driving up and down the M40 but I've managed nearly 1400 miles so far for 2012.  Ran an evening marathon in MK in July and then JW Ultra in September.  Next will be VLM 2013 and that will be my 25th marathon/ultra

Well done for keeping up the mileage during all the trauma Bridget. You will meet your 1500 target

Hope things improve for you and good luck in training for London....

Hi & welcome to the thread.

Well done on everyone's training.

Fiona- nice running

USB- Welcome back! Hope things get easier for you...

NP- well done on the tempo and good luck with the second run. No doubles here yet

8.01m nice and easy for me around the lit parts of town tonight in 1.00.25 (7.33 av)

04/12/2012 at 19:45

Same sort of run for me tonight jason, 10.1m in 8:05mm average pace. HR getting lower for the pace I'm doing.  Did an early run and got work home as central heating due to be fixed at 7pm - still waiting!

Good to hear from you USB, I hope 2013 is easier.

Nice tempoing in bad conditions NP.

AGF - beer drinking? Now that's MY kind of cross-training

Jason/Fiona - nice night time runs. Chilled off a bit this evening, but once you're out and warmed up it's not too bad [I was out on the MTB and had cold toes by the end but it was worth it to enjoy the clear evening].

USB - excellent total mileage, especially as you've had to fit it around other things. I'm on target for 1500 this year, and that will be my highest ever.

Steady 5 miles (7:54avg) off road lunchtime today. Sunny with a chill in the air. Lovely

Fiona - hope you get your heating fixed. Tradesmen, eh

Heating back on, replaced a valve under the floor but it could be the one on the hot water tank, some sort of micro switch.  Got a new thermostat on Sunday so my heating system will be all shiny and new - bit by bit!! Ok so far but no guarantee! Anyway, much worse things happen.

05/12/2012 at 14:22

Just over 10 miles steady for me today ice still on the ground even in the sunbuild build build.

Fiona glad you got your heating sorted out its getting to cold to be without any.
