Holy moly loads of great running going on - must admit I am slightly jealous!

I got home yesterday afternoon. Needless to say no running( or very much else) happening here!! Going stir crazy already.

Jason nice double runs for you today, I agree with you your pace has to drop off as you build the miles up the trick is to ensure it comes back. I had worked hard on my pace before Dublin but I'm happy to say it's back and I hope to go faster in the peak/race phase.

Teknik thats nice running but there are so many things that can effect your HR Thats why I only use it sometimes and on slow runs only.

AGF Nice running this morning think Jason has now taken the number 3 spot on Fetch....

Jayc hope you managed to get out for that 8 miles.

Kaz1 welcome back it wont be long before your allowed to run again.

two runs for me today now D&D 7 miles tempo this morning and 6 miles recovery run tonight, legs felt a lot better after a good nights sleep.

NP- should be number 2 if you look at number 1 clearly a mistake! My club mate is the other one above me

Jason, Russian twists with an added overhead press with the medicine ball are the way to go fella

Wake,20 min circuit, eat,Homes under the hammer and other assorted daytime tv crap,20 min circuit ,eat lunch, hobble to shop and back, dinner, more nightime tv crap ,then bed.

The disciplined life of an athlete is good

YC- lots of Russian twists, haybaling, crunches, squats and v-ups with medicine ball going on here Sounds like an interesting day..... Try Marathon Talk instead of daytime TV, maybe?

7 miles with 3 @ 7.30, 6.48 & 6.52. I usually struggle the 1st tempo mile, but god knows what happened tonight...

Jason how many runs did that idiot post lol...... That puts me up to 15th lol.
I got a mention on rate your run on MArathon talk this week for the interval session I did on Christmas day, was a shock when I heard it on my recovery run whilst listening to the show

SM6 nice running.
03/01/2013 at 20:07
NP- fame!!!
03/01/2013 at 20:08
SM6- never mind the first- look at the others!
03/01/2013 at 20:26

Jason,i do like Marathon Talk but im afraid it would make me feel a bit down about no running at the moment.

So daytime tv it is for the time being

Are you noticing a difference in your strength/flexibility with the medicine ball sessions?

03/01/2013 at 20:31
YC- early days with the ball, but yes I think so

Warm up in the gym the out for 6 hill repeats then back to gym for core and stretch. Rest day coming up then long run Saturday .

Looks like everyone is putting in some good training sessions!

Gosh it's busy on here!

Lots of core work going on which I should have done tonight.

4 miles recovery this morning then a run with the guys tonight - 7.76 miles ()of headtorch running on hills, scrambling up the side of a quarry, running down a steep narrow path with slippery leaves then having a blast at the end. One guy shouts get the girl so we sprint - i manage second!  Great fun!

Nice that your run got a mention NP and another impresive double!

Fantastic tempo pace SM.

Nice running AGF and Teknik, my shoes look trashed with yet more mud tonight. So many people out tonight with nice clean gear.

Good to hear from you kaz.

Another 8 miles in the bank for me tonight conditions were very mild but a strong wind made things interesting, 5 mile run tomorrow to bring the week to an end
03/01/2013 at 22:24

7.5 miles (mostly) with group for me tonight. Also quite mild with little wind here.
Hope you're back running soon Kaz

Some steady running now from nearly everyone on here today
FC, MG1, SM6, NP, JSN, JCM, Tek, AGF
(and anyone else I haven't noted)

Scotland is just about waking up again.
No milk today - it seems even the cows have observed the 2 January!

I've had a busy day and entered 2 marathons (Loch Katrine and Cape Wrath). That's it now for 2013!
