Just done the IOW mara:

3:36:26 on the country's hilliest road course, in foul torrential rain and wind.

Fantastic WS - but I hate to tell you IOW is not the hilliest road marathon in UK!

The toughest one is Langdale (haven't done that one yet), Cornish is also harder and probably Snowdonia too.

Only going by what I was told Shades. I figured at least Snowdonia was hillier, but that's abroad.

Hilly enough for someone whose only 'hill' within 5 miles of home is the adverse camber on the roundabout up the road!

WSS - very well done.

PH - did you do it too? If so, well done too.

I did 15 miles this weekend - ave HR 108, time taken 5:19.00. It was the Wirral Coastal Walk - the operative word being walk here - about 10,000 people take part. The weather was absolutely foul and we got very, very wet. I have got blisters on my toes but that's about as bad as it gets.

Didn't do my long(er) run this weekend on account of the Walk.
