Hi, I am a new reader and runner/jogger. I would love to find someone able to jog/run occasionaly with me during the day in the Portsmouth, Hampshire, area. To train for cross counntry runs and for fun. I loose motivation when always going out on my own. luv to hear from you, Jo

Hi jo, I can't help with the running partner, but if you are new to x/c then I would suggest you try and build some hill work into your training (Maybe a stepper in the gym). Running in mud, especially muddy hills is very demanding on the legs. Unlike the road, it is not an option to run slowly when the going gets sticky, you just seem to sink deeper. I know, I speak from experience, slow down and you end up walking.

Great fun though
