Morning

Postie: Cheers for starting todays thread. It is July though mate not September.

Cracking sunny morning when out

Yesterdays lyrics: Big Country and 'One Great Thing' from The Seer album abck in 1986

Todays lyrics: Think so

What:4.5M Off Road

Why: For a wee change

Enjoyed it. Best 'normal run' in ages.

Trivia: Today back in 1984 Sergey Bubka set a new World Record of 5.90m  in Pole Vault at Crystal Palace.

Ale: Aye very good, Bay City Rollers. No, but there's a new suggestion for lyrics...

Blisters Two sunny days in a row. 'Big Alex' Salmond  will be proclaiming  that Scotland is 'The new Costas '  if we get two more sunny days ...

Morning.

That sounds like a lovely run Blisters.

Alehouse - hope you had a quiet night and are ok this morning.

Pammie - great last mile!

postie - is there something specific you want your degree for?

7d - glad you escaped relatively unscathed - it was a bit close to your half for anything to have gone wrong.

What:           swim am/short, easy run pm
Why:            didn't swim yesterday
Last hard:     watching it rain some more.
Last rest:      11/6

Lyrics - no.

Morning,
Have just watched the weather forecast and been listening to a piece about birds: Postie is right with the date! Summer is over and the birds think its autumn.

What: may swim!
Why: won't be running as it would be unwise. Calf not too bad this morning, but am aware that it is not quite right.

7D:  hope you are not feeling too bruised today!

Lyrics: no

Morning all. Found it difficult to get off to sleep, now you mention it, because of the bruises - but now I'm awake the pains that remain won't inhibit my running. I hope!

R&R today. Lyrics are a big yes, my second favourite song by this band.

 happy friday 13th
lyric - not sure
7d - haven't played footy for a few years now, but used to enjoy the indoor variety (I was probably as guilty as most with the niggly fouls - once a full back, old habits and all that)
Blisters - sounds ideal. Quite right with natural beauty of the UK. Even in the sodden elements during last nights run I paused , just for a moment, at the top of the hill that overlooks the nearby fields. Makes the drenching worthwhile.
So yesterday was 7.5 miles , middle 6 tempo.
Today - 2 or 3 easy miles
Why - legs a little jaded

Some great running going on.

Fab run, Blisters . Agree on England's beauty. While we lived there I was always surprised how mindbogglingly horrid the Greater London area looked whereas darn Sarf or oop Norf it seemed like a different planet.

Pammie: nice streaking and a great run to boot. No wonder you were smiling

alehouse wrote (see)

Birks: Great Scottish band...not the Bay CIty Rollers, surely?

Tee hee, ale. The Bay City Rollers, OMG. Those were the days! They were immensely popular in Germany when I was a kid

what: 11.35 early morning miles
why: 2nd medium-long run of the week
last hard: getting up at 4am to get those miles in
last rest: Monday
lyrics: no

Enjoy your crunchie Friday

13/07/2012 at 13:48

Afternoon all.

Thank God it's not September, I'd be very late for my move if it were!

Blisters  sounds like a great run

What: rest probably, though some core possible

Why: hip is hurting, I think it's coz of swimming yesterday.

7D good luck with the half.

Have a good day all.

Postie

Hi there

Postie LOL re the date  if that were the date we'd be late getting the shop ready for an end of year seasonal event. Not going to mention the word

Funny moment popped to work as i needed a few things one of the ladies there asked me  if it was me running yesterday, (pause) in the wet. "Yes probably"

"Don't you slip or anything" "Do you go out  when it rains"

Somehow couldn't convince her it was fun

Here's something i did earlier
What: Run 6.29 miles
Why just keeping the engine running
Last Hard: Mmmm Sunday!!!!!!

Lyrics No

Short run tomorrow as want to try something longer Sunday hence the length of todays run

13/07/2012 at 23:26

Pammie, some people just don't understand. Hmmm. Like me.

Lyrics: if they are topical based upon some art show related to a birthday, then yes.

For some reason my legs are DOMS affected. Yesterday's car journey probably.
Swam today, in a lovely toasty warm swimming pool. It took ages to get a rhythm, and I was needing to pause after each length, not much, but some. The tired legs seem to have had a contribution. 1000m done without too much loss of form at the end. Ha! That sounds like there were periods when I actually had some form.

Bike ride tomorrow. It looks damp. Again. My legs are not going to be happy either.
