see you tonight then - is it still £1.00 entry fee or has that increased now ?

Averaged over 18mph for the first time ever on a 16 mile ride I did yesterday so like to think I'm getting there slowly - will be very interested to see what time I can produce tonight

Think its £1.50, not sure. Well dont on the 18mph, thats very good ave speed over 16 miles.

Have you changed your pedals yet, if not I guess youd get another 1-2mph benefit.

I've dug out some old Look pedals and some equally old adidas cycling shoes with Look cleats on them and am trying them out - I must admit I was using them for yesterday's ride and they felt OK

Carl - have you had an e-mail from Dr G? If not, I'll text him to make sure you're booked in!

Carl and Bandanna Man - is this time trial the one that was running from the car-park by the river in Stony Stratford?

It all looked very serious - pointy hats and carbon-fibre wheels - or so I thought as I gently strolled past you on the way to my local for a pint...

...after my run, of course!

BTW - It looks like I'm going to be free on Wednesday after all, so if the table hasn't been booked yet (Dr. G?), can you add one more.

Thats the one FAB, some of the guys there are really good cyclists and yes some even have the aero helmets and high spec time trial bikes. Dont let it put you off if you fancy a go there are some slower riders including me.

Got an email from Dr G on Friday about curry night, see you all there at the front door at 7.30 (if thats where we are meeting?)
18/05/2004 at 08:31
I presume so! Well, I'll meet you outside and I know what Dr G and Nikki look like if they're already inside.
18/05/2004 at 09:06
Can I meet you outside as I hate walking in on my own.

Should we all wear a red carnation or carry a copy of RW? :)

lol - You did well Steve, was suprised how fast you were on your MTB, I need more practise...

It was desperartion to keep up and not get lost :-)

Now that BT have fixed my broadband connection, I can check the forum and find out that the curry started at 7pm, not 7:30 as I remembered. I guess I was hanging around outside muttering whilst you lot inside were munching poppadoms :-(

That's my excuse. I did, however, meet Carl B, who also turned up at 7:30.

Next time, we need to do something clever like swap mobile phone numbers!

Hope you enjoyed your curry. Next time?

Eek FAB and I arrived around 7.28 both mistakenly thinking the curry evening started at 7.30.

We stood around till 7.50 cursing you and wondering if we'd been stood up. Were so sure it was 7.30 didnt even bother checking inside as figured youd be hanging around and looking for us if you were there.

Please accept my apologies, im really sorry about the mistake and messing up what would have been a great night.

Hope we can arrange something else, maybe Chineese or something.

Damn damn with an extra side order of damn! We WERE inside thinking we'd been stood up!

SVT, Straitjacket and myself even managed to refrain from poppadoms till 7.45!!

Methinks next month's will be better organised.....the 7 drinks were for those able to get there before the 7.30 kick off.

Sorry to Carl & Fish!

Ah, I know where the misunderstanding has come from...

Forum says 7.00, email I got from Dr G says 7.30?
