Woken at 0430hrs by a very heavy rain shower but it's dry now and forecast to stay that way for he morning at least - fingers crossed.

When do your CW Games duties start birks?

Hope there are no ill effects from yesterday's test Alehouse?

Morning LMH

I got my photo accreditation on Saturday. Opening ceremony rehearsal is I think 20th July. Will double check, obviously. In fact do that today

09/06/2014 at 07:42

well raced RFJ, and good long ones LmH, Postie
Looks set to be another warm one, was glorious leaving the house this morning. Was hoping for some showers for the garden, but no signs of the ones you had LmH.
what - vets league match tonight. Track races are 400,1500 & 5k and I suspect I'll fill in where we are short. If not I'll run at least two non scoring. Might do the LJ too, but not really tested the jumps this season after knee/hamstring issues earlier in the year.
Again if we have enough scorers I might do a couple 'for fun'...
why - its like a mid-life crisis , but for distance runners
last hard - Saturday
last rest - 9 days

Have a lovely day

Can you enjoy a taper chickadee?

Plan B as it started to rain soon after I set out on my ride and although I gave it a chance to be a quick shower and pass through it decided to get heavier instead so more of a swim today and hopefully I shall use the bike hours tomorrow.

09/06/2014 at 11:59

No, OH, gardening abandoned without a ball being bowled. Been having a smashing time in HM?

Wheels set in motion for mum's move to a residential placement: they have to assess her to see if they can meet her needs, which will happen on Wednesday.

09/06/2014 at 12:42

Hope you make it back in time for the swimming lesson OH.

Difficult times Alehouse. Hope it all works out.

Huge hailstones here now interspersed with torrential rain and thunder. May not need to drive to the pool to swim at this rate!

Hello Birks?

LMH, whether it was hammy, ITB, SI joint or PITA, I'm just being ultra cautious.

Swam yesterday OW, Garstang canal for about a mile. Thanks to my towpath spotters. That was instead of Bala Half IM.
Today, swam in Lake 32 for 2250m, then biked 26 miles. Called in to the bike shop, but shut Mondays Aaaaargh!

09/06/2014 at 14:05

Afternoon all,

jogging resumed after a 4 day hiatus.  Nearly gave up on Saturday, and I don't mean running.

  • What:  4ish.  Very sicky and hard work.
  • Why:  Life's a bitch and then you die.
  • Last Hard:  N/A
  • Last Rest:  Yesterday

Have a good one!

AF hope all things improve for you.

LMH maybe I just remember you from lurking too Chaotic weather you're having for sure!

Dustin hope you enjoy your fun evening. I would definitely be scared of tempting the LJ....just spells danger to me.

Sun is still shining here although we had dramatic storms in the evening yesterday.

What: am 6 miles easy including drills
pm 3 miles easy
Why: Legs are adapting to the mileage nicely so building good foundations.
Last hard: Saturday
Last rest: 29/5

Take care all

Alehouse - no glass broken just decision to replace door panel with glass to let more light into hallway

09/06/2014 at 16:33

Is it on the mend Blisters.

Glad you didn't AF.

Could be forever, it's strange how we feel we know people sometimes without ever having met them but I've been fortunate in that those I have gone on to meet have been lovely people. It's now warm and dry with localised flooding.

So, today ended up being 10 miles on the bike and 3k in the pool before being pummelled and pressed. Resisted the temptation to take Grace for a run instead of her afternoon walk. Damn taper.

09/06/2014 at 16:58

6.1 miles tonight in 43:17.  Found myself feeling great and running quite fast.  Must find a race this week!

Lyrics, nope and turns out I didn't know yesterdays either.
