She also runs with a runners retreat top on (http://www.runners-retreat-marlow.co.uk/) and that is Marlow based and they support the Marlow 5 and other races so maybe it is sponsor driven.

i said to them that we'd have to put a team in for them next time.

I wonder if we could get some free gear to advertise them

sam won't be happy there's a new fast woman on her patch!

Evening, no running for 2 days due to be being a larey drunk. Went out all day with the lads yesterday, cracking day. Quite like being 30! Back to some easy stuff tomorrow.

Deano, I've entered the Stone 10K, heard good things about it. I'm using it as part of my 5K training. The plan for which is on my wall, some tasty leg shattering sessions on there!

Stevie - I'm doing stone as well.  It is supposed to be flat and fast.

Trust the plan.

bus, did you notice the pedigree of the guy who came in behind you in 13th: (had that swanky red and black swirly top on)   last 10k he ran was 31:57

http://www.thepowerof10.info/athletes/profile.aspx?athleteid=998

mind you, it was in 2007 and he hasn;t run since. One to keep an eye on.

That is a VERY Interesting profile! Some impressive 5k times to. It looks like that 2007 Berlin Marathon either made him have a rethink about running entirely or left him injured! Either way, glad the guy is back up and running and no doubt will be way in front of us before too long! In the meantime I can say I beat a sub 32 10k man

Lots of activity on here today! No chance to read it all in detail - will try to catch up properly tomorrow! SG - may be your 10k is looking a tiny bit soft now after Marlow 5?

I noticed the guy in red as I passed him. I certainly passed someone in predominately red.

By coincidence I had the feeling that he was capable of being a lot faster; it must be the way horse people can look at a horse and say, "that's a good one".

Note deans thumbnail pic as an example.

Fancy putting on a dress and trying for the fastest couple in the world:

all you have to do is beat Mr and Mrs Wicks.

sounds like they've had some amazing physical hardship to recover from, heart problems, meningitis and collapsed lungs!? Sort it out!

Phil, nice sniffing through online stats and info as always! You'd be dangerous if you weren't on our side!

Sam and Tish may have a bit of a record, but Tish is now minutes ahead by the look of the recent races, and is starting to do super local events, Marlow and Staines...could be a wycombe face off...
