Its complicated...I had a second scan and the hernia is located in a difficult area where one of the main arteries enters the stomach muscle. If they operate then there's a percentage risk of constricting the artery and damaging the stomach muscles also causing more nerve damage in the area which would cause the pain to get worse. So, on balance the surgeon recommends keeping an eye on it for another 6 months and then review it. So looks like I've just got to get on with things for the moment......not great news I suppose. Anyway, onwards and upwards.....
