At the moment i'm currently into week 5 of the 8week 10K training schedule as of friday i'll be doing a pyramid session 1K,2K,3K slightly slower than my 10K pace. The question is how is the pyramid run? Is it a case of 3K then 3K plus 2K ,then 3K plus 2K plus 1k???totalling 14K ANY ADVICE WILL BE MORE THAN WELCOME AS THE SESSION IS THIS FRIDAY

The way I run my pyramids is as follows:

warm up, 1 min fast, 1 min recovery, 2 min fast, 1 min recovery,3 min fast, 2 min recovery,4 min fast, 2 min recovery,5 min fast, 2 min recovery,4 min fast, 2 min recovery,3 min fast, 2 min recovery,2 min fast, 1 min recovery, 1 min fast, 1 min recovery, cool down - so the hard sessions go 123454321 ie a pyramid.

Maybe the one in your schedule is: warm up, 1K fast, recovery,2K fast, recovery,3K fast, recovery,2K fast, recovery,1K fast, cool down

If run in the conventional way it would be: 1k,2k,3k,2k,1k - ie, 9km in total.
