Todays lyrics: You - you got a nasty reputation
What:40mns steady over paths and some grass
Why: Saturday morning
Dry, cold and a bit windy
Coffee and catch up
Morning birks. Thanks for the thread start - I was beginning to struggle.
Yesterday's lyrics as most knew were Baggy Trousers by Madness.
Race well Wabo and anyone else?
What: rest or 30 minutes easyWhy: racing tomorrowLast hard: 22/12Last rest: 28/12
Lyrics - feel that I should.
No probs: I'll start the thread when I can. Thought that was yesterdays lyrics. All the best for tomorrow's race.
Wabo: All the best to you too. And any others racing.
What: swim and run
why: it's Saturday ( but the weather remains dreich)
last hard: Monday
last rest: yesterday
hope you run well tomorrow LM.H
BM - Paths and grass in the dark ??!!
OH: No they are lit by the street lights.
No to the lyrics.
What: in an hour or so will go for an off-road hour or so...when it stops raining! Why: it seems to be what I do on a Saturday.
what - 2 hours (with a prakrun in the middle)Why - Long Run as racing tomorrowLast hard - TuesLast Rest - Yesterday
14.88m for the long run (inc a 22:50 on my watch 23:30 official as started late parkrun, that was muddy, was aiming for MP but too hard conditions for that)
How lovely chickadee - you bank that memory and hold on to it for those runs that aren't as great feeling.
You ready then Gobi?
Is it cross country tomorrow RFJ?
I sort of wish I had chosen the rest day today. Just back from three and a half miles and whilst it was quite fast for the effort it felt awful and I took ages to raise my HR. Must ensure I get a good mile in to warm up before the off tomorrow though that can be difficult at Brass with crowding and flooding.
Couple of "rides" under the bridge with the brisk tidal flow
followed by 9 mile loop with Elspeth.
Sounds like you're on form chickadee!
Good long run with park run RFJ - race well tomorrow
afternoonLmH - congrats on the silverware LmHBlisters - sorry to hear you're still strugglingDecent milegae being logged elsewhere today too!what - 12 miles over the fields. Some really boggy parts (knee deep gloop) but higher wind swept parts were practically dry. bizarre.why - Parliament hill next week for southern xclast rest - dec 25thlast hard - legs say this morning!lyric - not surehave a great day
Some good long running going on, as Dustin says...you included, sir!
What: 61 mins, 11k, so that's slightly quicker than usual for my "long" run. Why: quicker because about 5k was on the road whilst the rest was on muddy/puddly tracks and canal bank.
What: 4ish in the mud
Last Hard: No
Last Rest: 12 days
Have a good one!
Well done AF: consistent consistency is the key. Keep it going!
Just noticed that I have passed 100 for the year. Kilometres that is. 18 days of consistent consistency!
LMH - Stubbington 10K road race, but by the sea.... could be interesting if windy (same race as Gobi, except he will be ahead of me by about 1-2 mins may be more as I feel fat and slow at present for me).
Going nicely AF
Thanks guys, but I have a mountain to climb
XC today was really tough, just couldn't get a grip on the surface at all, even with spikes on. Slightly disappointed with my performance but I know it wasn't too bad. Was about 5.5 miles and I started too fast. You'd think after 30 years I'd know better.
Lyrics, nope. Longish, easy run tomorrow.
Another rest day for me, Other than went for a long walk with a friend. Long run tomorrow
Good luck tomorrow LMH!!
