What:40mns steady over paths and some grass

Dry, cold and a bit windy

Coffee and catch up

Why:                   racing tomorrow
Last hard:           22/12
Last rest:            28/12

Lyrics - feel that I should.

Good luck, wabo and LMH this weekend

AF: following the 12 week 55-70 plan but started 2 weeks early just on car I get a cold or a niggle

what: 16.5 with 8@MP
why: bad weather forecast for tomorrow
last rest: yesterday
last. hard: should have been today but I felt amazing. One of those 'shit, I'm too fast but who cares I feel great runs' . PMP is 7:37 but I averaged 7:32 today
lyrics:I should think so
18/01/2014 at 11:27

Morning all,

what - 2 hours (with a prakrun in the middle)
Why - Long Run as racing tomorrow
Last hard - Tues
Last Rest - Yesterday

14.88m for the long run (inc a 22:50 on my watch 23:30 official as started late parkrun, that was muddy, was aiming for MP but too hard conditions for that)

Take care

How lovely chickadee - you bank that memory and hold on to it for those runs that aren't as great feeling.

You ready then Gobi?

Is it cross country tomorrow RFJ?

I sort of wish I had chosen the rest day today. Just back from three and a half miles and whilst it was quite fast for the effort it felt awful and I took ages to raise my HR. Must ensure I get a good mile in to warm up before the off tomorrow though that can be difficult at Brass with crowding and flooding.

18/01/2014 at 12:42

Couple of "rides" under the bridge with the brisk tidal flow

followed by 9 mile loop with Elspeth.

Sounds like you're on form chickadee!

Good long run with park run RFJ - race well tomorrow

LmH - congrats on the silverware LmH
Blisters - sorry to hear you're still struggling
Decent milegae being logged elsewhere today too!
what - 12 miles over the fields. Some really boggy parts (knee deep gloop) but higher wind swept parts were practically dry. bizarre.
why - Parliament hill next week for southern xc
last rest - dec 25th
last hard - legs say this morning!
lyric - not sure
have a great day

LMH - I shall report back tomorrow afternoon :??)
18/01/2014 at 14:26

Some good long running going on, as Dustin included, sir!

What: 61 mins, 11k, so that's slightly quicker than usual for my "long" run.
Why: quicker because about 5k was on the road whilst the rest was on muddy/puddly tracks and canal bank.

18/01/2014 at 14:35

What:  4ish in the mud

Why:  Pre-Training

Last Hard:  No

Last Rest: 12 days

Have a good one!

18/01/2014 at 14:40

Well done AF: consistent consistency is the key. Keep it going!

Just noticed that I have passed 100 for the year. Kilometres that is. 18 days of consistent consistency!

LMH - Stubbington 10K road race, but by the sea.... could be interesting if windy (same race as Gobi, except he will be ahead of me by about 1-2 mins may be more as I feel fat and slow at present for me).

Going nicely AF

18/01/2014 at 18:40

Thanks guys, but I have a mountain to climb

18/01/2014 at 19:18

XC today was really tough, just couldn't get a grip on the surface at all, even with spikes on.  Slightly disappointed with my performance but I know it wasn't too bad. Was about 5.5 miles and I started too fast.  You'd think after 30 years I'd know better.

Lyrics, nope.  Longish, easy run tomorrow.

Another rest day for me, Other than went for a long walk with a friend. Long run tomorrow
