Todays lyrics:Hey you, don't watch that Watch this!
What 45mins Steady mixture of paths and off road
Why: Enjoyed running off road the last few days.
Sunny, frosty, no wind.
Younger son playing football at 1:30 so will go and watch that.
Catch up time.
What: hopefully a hikeWhy: we're in hiking country
However, it's currently overcast, so not safe to go up the mountain. We're currently waiting to see if it burns off. Hopefully if no hike, then a run.
Blisters hope the infection goes soon. Birks you becoming a trail runner?
Have a good one all.
Its a long cycle today. This training sometimes seems like its Madness.
Very brief swim today (5C)
5C, you're mad!
Hike cancelled as it's raining too much. Hoping for a run later instead.
5C ????? nutjob 1st time this campaign that I ran without hat & gloves . 7 degrees and I was hot -- what am I going to do if its 17 on race day??? 9 miles done with 6x100m strides and 5 x 600m reps (did them between 6:10 and 6:30 pace, depending on the wind). Think I successfully shook of those tired post race legs that were bugging me all week.Enjoy the weekend
Lyrics: YesWhat: Tkd Why: It's SaturdayLast HardWednesdayLast Rest: Yesterday: (Mojo went awol)OH back from holiday tomorrow and race in Oxford...carbon footprint will increase, Wales- Oxford-Wales-Gatwick!! Doh!
A'noon you lot
Nah just a runner discovering trails
Afternoon, and a very spring-like one at last: 11.5 degrees. Wall to wall sunshine since first thing, although bitterly cold when I was watching a parkrun.
What: 15 minutes of struggle! (On trails, as I do whenever I can). Why: even though it was slow I couldn't breathe, couldn't put one foot in front of the other. Suspect it is from lots of walking whilst in France, plus a couple of hours earlier helping a friend dismantle a 12 x 8 green house that he has bought:it still remains in someone else's garden! Or did I have too many layers on (although no gloves, hat and only one pair of bottoms)?
OH: I don't fancy that swim!Birks: building up nicely, I see. Any race plans?!
Meant to say yes to the lyrics (but only because of Paddy's clue).
SC: can't you do Wales/Oxford/Gatwick?
AH that would be sensible I have to go back to Wales to teach for 17.00 and the wanderer returns to Gatwick at 23.00!!!!
5 km run up a hill then down again with OH. Sunshine came out just in time for the run
50 mile cycle d&d. I think thats enough distance. Last years 80 mile (Sometimes plus) were simply one step beyond the pale!!
Ale - Jasas, I didnt mean to give a clue!!
There's a hint of spring in the air
Lyrics not at first then i read Ale's post then i got it
What: 6.78 miles on the bike
Why: felt like it
Paddy Great cycle one day one day
Hello everyone, not posted for a while, hope everyone is doing well. Since moving house I've been working bizarre hours, changed my diet pretty much wholesale and decided to cut race distances to 10M and under - but up training efforts in terms of speed. Seems to be paying off as I broke my 5M and 5K PBs this week, going 31.38 at the Chester Spring 5 on Wednesday night and 18.56 this morning at South Manchester parkrun. Targetting my first sub-40 10k at the end of the month and thinking of finding a second claim club in the area.
