Up and out this morning at 07.30 - most unusual for me. But it was worth it, warm sunshine and cool breeze.

What: approx. 14.5 miles

Why: Need long runs for race the Train in August and have been lazy this week.

Last hard: last Sun
Last rest: Mon-Wed of this week :(

just tried the cold bath theory, so hopefully legs will be ok. for the Swithland 6 tomorrow.

Good luck all of you (fast!!) runners. will be looking out for reports tomorrow.

It's ridiculously hot! Just done all of the shopping: ought to count as cross-training!

what - 13 miles hilly and part off road at 6.30am. Very hot at the finish which I hate.

Tomorrow - supporting forumites at Lake Vyrnwy marathon with the satisfaction of knowing my run is over for the weekend.

Ayup,

wow, it's a warm one today.

Best of luck to all racing this weekend.

What: 32 mile bike @19.5 mph avg.
Why: First ride of the year, perfect weather for it.
Last hard run: Thursday before last, I think...
Last rest day: Yesterday.

Good luck wardi.See you tomorrow.Not run since Thursday and have got calf strain .. just when things were starting to go well again!
Was planning a pb attempt but think this weather will scupper that!

did it! 7-8 miles, hilly, steady, but included hill of death. Have drunk about 3 pints of water/juice/ etc. and just started on the red wine ;-)

Rest today and I watched the mighty Gers win the Scottish Treble. In any case I'm running 18 miles tomorrow morning. I'm going to try the cold bath afterwards to try and shock my muscles into recovery as I was in pain for a week after a 17 mile run 2 weeks ago.

More tomorrow.

Evening All

What: 6 Miles including lots of hills.
Why: Went out with the club on Wednesday to do hills and struggled, so I decided to practice to get better and stronger.

Last Rest: Monday
Last Hard: Wednesday

Looking forward to the Sharon Norbury 5 Mile race tomorrow.

Morning all,

Late posting. Hope the races go well for all racing.

What: 70 mins including 32 mins tempo at ca 10km pace off the road. 9 miles in total

Why: Core weekly speed session - just starting to up the mileage ready to go back on to marathon training programme in 2-4 weeks.

Last hard: Tuesday km intervals

Last rest: Week last Friday
