Just packing now...so for the porridge anoraks...Lidl instant pot 178 calories, 29.5 grams of carbohydrate. Had these before and very nice, but obviously before a marathon/ultra you would need to eat more than one of these
Right signing off now back on line Monday pm but VR will report in. That is, if we have time in between the running the Guinness and all the socialising....another sleep deprived weekend I expect
Good luck to all racing this weekend
have a great time shades and VR!!
well have my runners with me today so going to try a 10 min plod outside at lunchtime.. I know its still niggling but i've gotta test it out a bit or my legs will forget how to run!
Mamafox - That sounds promising, wish I could just click something and be good to go . Will be 4 weeks for me this Sunday with no running, March mileage was 3 !
Good luck to everyone running this weekend ..lost of track of who's running where! but hope it goes well for everyone
Had a good muddy ride on Tuesday and no ill effects from that so I'll do a bit more biking. Heading down to Oxford tonight to see family for the weekend, my mum has one of those treadmill things , so may be tempted to do 5mins which is about all I can handle on a treadmill anyway. I never know whether to do a little bit to try and strengthen or just a complete layoff from running.
12 min plod done and leg is tight but not too sore now! will try again tomorrow
Shades and VR - have a fab weekend!!
Emmy - safe journey to Paris. Forget the time, just enjoy Paris it's a brilliant experience.
morning folks.. hope you are all well. This week has been a fery sporadic week for running, had so much going on and the weather i have anly had chance to go out a few times. . Today should be a 22 miler which im looking forward to but i woke up this morning feeling like i gad been bashed around the head with a soggy leg of lamb..I know the general rule is if you have a cold and its abouve the chest then it should be ok to run, but if if below then no. What should i do? i have a bit of a tight chest so i am guessing it has migrated to my chest and im guessing it be advisable to rest but not 100% sure what would you do?
Well done Clag. Hopefully you and Emmy had a good race!
As a matter of interest, how long did it take you to get through the start? It looked like some people took over an hour to get through from what I saw on TV.
well done Clag nice result.
Great work Clag.
Did my 14 miler today, in Sunshine for a change - nice steady run, and enjoyed it. Still found myself going too fast in places - I still haven't sorted proper pacing out - but got a couple of weeks to sort it !!!
