Second 6 mile run done tonight with a few run sideways..... very very windy 3 m forward 7 back but effort wise a great workout beats -18 and snow like last year.
Gobi enjoy your progressive run on the dreadmill.
Spoons nice workout.
Kaz well done on the dreadmill, also nice baking.
Fiona nice pace on the dreadmil and baking as well MMMMMmmmm Choc cake........
I have two Christmas dinners tomorrow with lunch with the early morning swimmers and then the works christmas do on the night time, this will be me by the end of it.....
All schools closed here today due to the weather..........Lots of roads are closed, and not looking to improve today???
Another day of the dreadmill!! 6 miles plus some core work
I would love a Starbucks right now.........
Asda are doing some really nice little mince pies .
Well done on everyone's training.
Hope the weather improves soon.
5 miles easy on the treadmill - snow back but should be ok for tomorrow.
Is anyone racing this weekend or is it all base?
Haven't read back yet, but no running for me for last 3 days- a first since February. For some reason my legs have still been really sore lately- think it was doing that "slow" 35m- looking back that would have probably been around race pace for me at a distance 9m than I'd ever run before- stooopid! So took a few days off- feeling better now, but don't know whether I'll do the inter-regional xc tomorrow or not....
Been reading "The Ghost Runner" lately- the sad but inspiring story of John Tarrant. Left it with him aiming to do the Comrades too- but with a few more problems than Gobi will have to face!
We've got my parents round today (last chance to check my wedding dress is still fitting okay) and then plan for a little run tomorrow.
Oopps. Good to hear you're feeling better.
HY4 -not long now.............
Gobi- What marathon are you doing in January??
Jason - if you do the XC -Good Luck!!
Fiona-hope your weather has improved to and you can get out and about.
We've got snow here again but no gales probably since its my rest day!! Guaranteed tomorrow when I've got 11 miles in front of me it'll be hurricane winds and blizzards..................
Good luck in your race Spoons, and yours Jason if you decide to do it.
I feel sorry for kaz/Fiona with all this wind and snow etc.
Today I did a 7 mile jog in the frosty morning. Started slowly and got faster as I warmed up. A nice feeling when you get home. Thats 29 Miles for the week, so I am gradually building again. No issues with the ITB what so ever. Good news.
Some lunch in a minute and then down to London with Mrs AGF. I had a bonus at work, so a top notch restaurant treat, a late night in bars etc and stay over will earn me points in the bag as marathon training kicks in properly afetr Christmas.
We have actually braved Milton Keynes this afternoon despite there being a F1 Red Bull drive by in the city centre. Admittedly most of the trip was spent in Sainsbury's but we did then walk up to the centre as Mr USB needed a new phone battery. All the fast food joints were jammed.
