Could not believe last night, went for club run and the person who normally organises it was on holiday. Stand in leader decides to make us run 11 miles. Normally we do between 7 - 8 in the winter months. One good thing I felt good for it!!

Morning all,

thanks for all good wishes - still a little lurgified this morning. I loved the hallucinogenic books idea hilly - will go with that one I think. Almost everything is up now, it is starting to look like a home, and I am just cleaning downstairs. May not have e-mail for a while but will post from work.

Still nothing for me, til all carp are out of chest (!). Will pick back up on Saturday, I think.

(((((((WP))))))) hope knee is better soon.

Good luck to all those in the snow. We still don't have any but it is -16 with the windchill!

morning,

havn't posted since tuesday due to not being at home and server problems at work.

Did a tough club run last night, about 12.5 miles some of it on fairly icy footpaths. All good miles in the bank though. Legs and me in general feel very tired today. I get to that stage on a thursday when the effects of all the travelling kick in. Will have an easy night in the gym i think.

what : gentle cycle and swim session
why : recovery
last hard : weds
last rest : tues

Morning all,

Planning 6 miles this evening. Will be first run with new Garmin, so, combining looking at that all the way that with the dark, I expect to fall over at least twice!

oh dear, just as a few are vacating some bench space it's rapidly filled.

WP, sodahead, melissa and all the afflicted take extra care this weather doesn't help. fell over already this morning and left my arseprint in the snow - looked quite dainty apart from the splayed arm and leg prints either side. one confused dog shouting 'stop sitting about and get up we're supposed to be walking' ;))

two tips for the bench bound from my recent experiences...

1. - honey (recommended by doc) for the throat/hoarseness. take in hot water then sodahead you can wash it down with whisky if preferred

2. - my dog's rubber ball (bought it in the supermarket) can replicate action of masseur's elbows. i sit on it (really) and get right into the inflamed piriformis. more party game ideas tomorrow.

what - track if snow permits
why - ready to test the injury out and badly need some speed work
last hard - 6 feb
last rest - all last week

Morning folks. Loving all this chat of drug-filled literature, fishy chests, arse prints in the snow and talking dogs...all good stuff!

What: another treadmill/X-trainer session (6 miles increasing pace/20 mins X-trainer/2 miles cooldown)

Why: continuing return from lay-off

Feeling quite optimistic today...this morning my back feels the best it has done since damaging it so, touch wood, a sign of better things to come.

Run and recover well people.
