If it was a very windy day, can that effect your training, how much slower do you expect to run a 10km run?

Honestly, if some of the miles are into a serious gale then you can be minutes slower per mile....let alone the full distance.

on the roads

Impossible to tell really depends on wind speed and direction etc. could be a few seconds to a few minutes.
I don't think it's an exact science. Similar to comparing hilly to flat and on road to off road.

Well,I am new to this thread and totally agree with the Millsy because Millsy is right, It totally depends on wind speed and direction.

ALso do you get a similar benefit with the wind behind you?

You'd be on for a personal best over a flat/straight route with the wind behind you all the way!

In the wind last night the first 3 miles I could cruise at 6.30 a mile. Coming back I had to push as hard as possible to get anywhere near 7 mins.
