The one at the Old Tobacco Factory! It was 10 minute's crawl from where I used ot live!! Used to be a good bar next door as well!

I know it's not central, but I can dream!! I had some great meals in there!

What is the criteria normally?

Do we have a private space?  Do we eat?

TSA - the harbourside area is always rammed at the weekend, it will certainly be busy down there but we'd struggle for private space.  I could look into a few places with a view to people staying at the nearby IBIS or travelodge hotels.

(And then present ideas to Meldy, of course, I wouldn't dream of doing anything without her consent)

The harbourside is lovely, well was lovely when I was there last. it was an eventful evening, I got kidnapped by Morris dancers and thrown out of a bar.

as you lot are too tight to pay to come over to Wales.................I think that Bristol will be the closest we will ever get to Wales...........so gets my vote

A bar on Park Road may be more likely to put some space aside. I think there is a HaHas or equivalent around that way.

If I recall Ha Ha (just off Berkeley Square) has changed hands but I know what you mean.  Currently contacting a venue on Park Street.  I've got a couple of other places to contact too.

I think Bristol was discussed last year and the year before that hence the decision to float around a bit rather than go between MK/London and Manchester

Mousey .. we generally have a private area (as much as is possible in the silly season) and a fair few of the bars prefer you to have some kind of food set up for a private area, saying that last year was quite good and we just had reserved tables.
I like the Tiger Tiger set up we had in MK but understand if people dont want to stump up pennies as there will be accommodation charges as well

Quite understand that Bristol may not suit everybody but then again neither did some of the other venues

I like the idea of it but need to see how the finances are.  Its been an expensive few months and I have done a lot of gallivanting recently.
