Swimming Champs should be confirmed tomorrow:

Subject to confirmation we have 4 lanes from 3pm - 4pm at Hengrove pool (25m), total cost is £46 so thats about a fiver each. 

Assuming there are 9 of us (which there are) thats 3 lanes for competion & 1 lane for general larking about, warm up, cool down etc.

100 FC - 3 semi finals (winner goes through) and 1 final
400 FC - 3 semi finals (winner goes through) and 1 final
100 IM  - 3 semi finals (winner goes through) and 1 final
150 FC  Relay (3x50m) - 1 final (3 teams of 3)

Actually looking at the timings we could be tight so we'll have to turn around the events quickly.  400m x 4 events is going to eat the most time, instead of having a final we could just do it as a league table from 3x heats.

just looked and my cross country race should start at 12:45....so if the timetable remains the same i might be able to make the swim relays with my pullbuoy

Barley, due to my current level of swim fitness, I am more than happy to sit out the 400m FC!!  The alternative is to get the defibrulator ready and that may take up even more time!  

I'm gettign scared about the swim too, as I'm crap at swimming

I may do the short one and let the rest of you crack on.

Mrs Matt now has a lovely purpley velvety long dress for teh night.

Mr Matt does not yet have DJ - but will be sorting it tomorrow (probably)

I see my role in the whole swimming event , more as a holding towels and shouting encouragement sort of thing.
If I even tried to butterfly you'd be dragging me off the bottom of the pool with the big hook thingie

Hope.i bought a dress today...................might even think about buying some shoes

So that leaves me and Barlos in the swimming challenge then??     He is toast.

I'm prepared to whoop your arse on any of the other events Meldy, other than the 400m!!   

SuperCaz is going to win this swim thing anyway.  

I'm just in it for the laugh. I'm an absolute cr@p swimmer but it will be a giggle.
